Wow, you guys! So many ideas . . . so many that intrigue me! (I wish I could write them ALL, but I'm not that good . . . XD)
Iditarod: I have faves . . . although I usually like EVERYTHING:

Balto 1 What-Ifs- What if Rosie was an orphan?
- What if Jenna wasn't purebred husky?
And my favorite...
- What if Muk and Luk really
couldn't swim? O____o
Balto 2 What-Ifs- What if Aleu had had husky coloring like her mother, but still had the same wolf-like personality?
- What if Nava hadn't been able to "become one with the tree"? (I think Niju could answer that one for me

)
- What if the caribou were just over the side of the cliff that the clan lived on all along?
Balto 3 What-Ifs- What if Balto had been able to hold his tongue and not swear in the middle of his G-rated movie? :/
- What if Dusty had given "obvious" hints that she liked any one dog?
- Not very original, but what if Kodi had been the one to lead the sled team? (That's what I wanted him to do all along)
- What if Steele had been in this movie at all? (Another aspect that I missed in the third movie)
Orphan Rosy would have been a major twist, probably making it so that she "owned" Balto if she was homeless, giving him more of a reason to go after the medicine. (ooh, write this now you guys)

I think we ALL wanted something like this, but they had to keep Balto in the main story somehow. At least it would have given Kodi a higher responsibility to become a leader like his dad, as well as the chance for us to learn more about him (and he'd get more SCREENTIME!!!).

Sora-kun: Here's my favorites:

BALTO 1
- What if Balto got the team even more lost? (breaking down below)
a. Would Steele save Balto? Why or why not?
b. If Balto made it back to Nome, how would he be treated?
- What if Balto was too late and Rosie didn't make it?
- What if Jenna went with Steele regardless of Balto's heroism?
BALTO 2
- What if Aleu was adopted?
- What if instead of Aleu going out to find herself, it was one of the more husky-ish pups?
- What if there was nothing spiritual in WQ? How would Balto find Aleu without the spirits' help?
- What if Nava didn't even exist? How would the pack pressure Niju into following the caribou?
Seriously, if Rosy died, the film would have been more realistic, if not more true to the real story (in with many still died before the medicine arrived). And if Jenna went with Steele, that would just be so WRONG. XD
I like all of the WQ ideas (although I started an answer to the first one about Aleu getting adopted - never going to be finished, it seems) . . . OBVIOUSLY, I'm a WQ fan.

BALTO 3
- What if Stella's subplot didn't suck?
Then WoC would have actually been GOOD. (seriously, it was a lame film, but I only enjoyed it for the Balto fandom purposes. I didn't like Stella at all, but at least they tried to put in a character that would appeal to grown-ups/young adults, since they probably saw the first film in theaters/VHS/etc.)

What if Aleu returned before the events in Balto III?
OH LORD. You just read my mind, buddy.
It would have been an interesting idea, but I fear that it would have been hard to write Aleu as the supporter role instead of the lead (which we all know she'd be used to). She's a natural leader anyway, but it probably would have made for some good sibling interaction (which was clearly absent from the third film . . . the flashback during Jenna's song doesn't count - TOO SHORT.) as well as personality development for both characters (like how much Aleu had matured, as well as how Kodi handled learning about his part-wolf heritage).
The other hard part would be how to explain why she returned anyway . . . and keep it under 5 minutes or so (the third film was Kodi's movie - Aleu had the entire second one already!). It would be interesting to hear what the writers would choose as a reason though, but for her to just abandon her destiny that took her about 45 minutes to get to in WQ just to return home for no real reason would made her seem more of a weakling (or a Daddy's Girl . . . which we ALL know she is).
I still don't think she would have added much in a film focused more on dog-sledding since she's more in tune with her wolf side.

Juuchan - Cat's holy mission in life is to rip the Balto sequels by following the saying of no origin: "Anything worth taking seriously is worth making fun of."
EDIT: Is "antagonistic" even a word? I don't really like the word "evil", it's too cheesy.
And this is why I like her ideas, and IT'S TRUE. Why not make fun of your fandom time after time? Who knows - it might make someone's interest in the fandom return . . . (it did for me!!)
To be honest, no one was really EVIL in the Balto films - they were either 1) really devious; 2) protective of their own family/beliefs/feelings/values/etc.; or 3) just prejudiced.
