Based off the book of the same name by Roald Dhal, comes this film!

Check out the trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2igjYFojUo

Wow, George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, and Owen Wilson? That's a pretty all-star sort of cast for what I'm guessing is a movie geared towards a younger audience.

But still, this kind of animation brings back memories... I haven't seen a stop-action animation movie since I was a kid watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer!

I'll probably rent it (it's probably not the kind of movie I'd see with my friends in theaters) but it looks all right!

And I'm serious, this is real! XD

I was about to ask if you were serious. >D

Anyway, I remember I read this book a million times when I was younger. ^^ This looks quite good, actually. :)

I watched the trailer and I think it will be good. I had a few laugh out loud moments. I probably wont go see it in theaters but when it comes on DVD I'll rent it. I have a feeling it will be a hit with the critics.

Well, now that the movie has come out, I'd like to know who saw it, and what you thought of it!

I, personally, really enjoyed it. Worth every cent of the admission price, in my opinion!

Wrong wrong wrong.... WRONG!

I hope you learned your lesson. Bring your friends. Bring ALL of you friends to the movies to watch this.

Then buy it and do it all over again.

I'm completely serious here!

And guys! Completely awesome date movie. *bricked, shot, faint*

I couldn't agree more!

This movie may not be 100% true to the book, but man, that definitely does not mean it's not a great movie, <3. Seriously, I think this may be the best movie I've seen this year, and judging from the near 20 I've seen, that's saying something. The characters are so lovable, the music is astonishing, the animation is so crisp, and over all, it truly is fantastic.

I recommend seeing it no matter what, even by yourself if you have to, or you'll regret it. That said, I think I'm going to go see it again for my birthday tomorrow, ^_^.

I'm not sure if I'm going to love this movie or hate it.

For everyone that's unsure about this movie for these tiny reasons, I really think you should give this a chance. Just because it's something out of the ordinary, doesn't mean it's going to be bad or not live up to your expectations. It's got fresh humor, fresh art, and a superbly fresh rating on one of the strictest movie rating sites: Rotten Tomatoes. It's currently at a very respectable 92%, being praised many times as being this year's best animation, ^_^. Saying stop animation is a step backwards is like saying 2D animation is a step backwards, X_x. They aren't judgment of quality, they are simply different art forms, and Fantastic Mr. Fox's stop animation is unbelievably fluid. I will say that this movie has it's corny parts, but if you'd watch the film, you'd understand while it works great. This movie definitely does not take itself seriously and isn't afraid to have fun, much like the book it was based from, =3.

I don't mean to rant, but I'm just trying to say be more open and give things a shot, <3.

I'm late on the whole "watching the movie" thing, but I really loved this!

The animation: brilliant and clean. I haven't seen such a clean, smooth running stop-motion. As a matter of fact, I haven't seen stop-motion since that movie about the were-rabbit or something like that. Even that was a bit jerky from what I saw. And, the fur's realistic!

The voices: great cast, but sometimes it just seems to me that the voices of Ash and Kristofferson are lacking emotion. I don't know if it's just me, but it just felt that way.

Music: some of the best music I've heard. Why? It's so diverse. From the calm music like Kristofferson's theme to the fast paced, "battle" music of 22 Stunt Expo 2004 and then the country-like music of Fantastic Mr. Fox(AKA Petey's Song) it varies and it's so diverse and amazing!
