Look for anatomy tutorials on dA. You don't like your style? Well start out on eyes, find an eye style you like and keep it! Go to lips, get one or more that you like. My eyes and lips style varies on the character. Sometimes my character has an cartoonish/mangaish/animeish body style and head style, but the lips, eyes, hair, and accessories are realistic! Look at comics, look at magazines, make an artist's morgue.
Filled with styles you like, hairs you like, everything you like. Then practice drawing it. I can't really help you with foreshortning or anatomy very much, so go look at art books and tutorials directly on those! Foreshortning is a whole story on it's own so in a anatomy art book you won't find much about it, more than the general one... but still, and again. Stock up on references! Buy a folder specifically to hold that, infact... a bag! You'll most likely get books that are filled with your faveriot styles of eyes or something, or books about what you most have trouble with!
And wolves vary, I like how you give yours hair that gives more attitude to your wolf/dog character. Really cool. And you're real good with markers!
