A little roleplay I have put together for me and Pecario. With Indy believed to be getting old he has sought work in Shadow's unit and working alongside the chief. Drug cartels are becoming more prominent and chaos is ensuing can Indy and Shadow work through and will they discover something more

The little puppy slowly opened her eyes on the bed of her owner’s pickup unfamiliar with any of her surroundings; the frigid air tickled her fur as Tala came by her side nuzzling her awake. Tala looked at her dad who then became concerned about him; the death of Whisper seemed to really damage his mind even though it never got in the way of his work, she had to be the surrogate mother/older mentoring sister to Angel. Dad, its been at least 2 years now, she thought but all she could hear was the faint song of Lucky, by Jason Mraz and Colbei Calliat, their first song when they officially married. “B…big sister where are we, this isn’t our usual kennel” she asked. Angel nuzzled her sister not sure what to tell her because after the accident, he was decommissioned and was forced to never work in California as an officer ever again. “Look sis, dad was given a better position down here in Illinois a higher position thanks to an old friend of his” Angel replied.

“But what…about my friends”

“I’m sorry sis but you’ll make new friends here”

Moving seemed to make Angel a little sad but she instead distracted herself by looking over to her father. “How is daddy” she asked.

Tala sighed shaking her head. “Still the same, he’s grieving over mom maybe this promotion could be helpful…look Chicago is coming up right now.”

The windy city came into sight and the town seemed to be a bustle of activity with subways, loads of people, and shopping, but what other people didn’t know was this city is also notorious for drug smuggling and thus more and more dogs are enlisted into police while those dogs who are upper-class live cushier lifestyles. Many strays are also seen around the areas who are mostly those who cannot afford them in there homes and some dogs partake in illegal activities just to feel that they belong and have power to hold on to.
Pretty much crime is prominent in Chicago and that’s why the police gets such massive funding for an impressive brick building like the one in front of police station and outside stood Indy’s old friend, Captain Shadow and her owner, the Commissioner of the Chicago P.D.’s K-9 unit. As the owner’s walked off to discuss the processes of this new city, Shadow went up to nuzzle Indy and looked him in eyes admiration, respect, and maybe something more entered his heart. “It’s really good to see you again Indy” she said and smiled seeing his kids jump off the pickup.
“Hi Shadow” Angel said wagging her tail gnawing on her leg. Lately, Angel had gotten training from her and her biting strength seemed to be getting stronger with each month that passes, she would soon show her true strength though.

Shadow had been waiting anxiously for Indy and his daughters to arrive at the Chicago Police Station for a while now. Natually the trip would take at least a few hours or so but the German Shepherd mix couldn't wait to see her comrade and his children. Her handler, Officer Davis, stroked her neck and praised her gently as they waited for the truck to arrive with the dogs brought from Illinois to aid the team of officers to put a stop to the elevating crime rates. The increase in crime had taken its toll on the staff at the station, and Shadow was growing tired of all the complaining; however, she was full of adrenaline when she was put to work.

Suddenly a truck pulled up in front of the station and Shadow's heart began to race. Officer Davis patted her on the head before walking over towards the driver to talk about their situation, leaving his dog to greet the dogs whom exited the back of the truck. She smiled sweetly as Indy walked up to her and she nuzzled him in greeting.

It's really good to see you again, Indy." Shadow muttered while looking at him in the eyes before movement behind him caught her attention. She noticed that his two daughters had also jumped off of hte truck and padded up towards them. The oldest sister, Angel, went straight for one of Shadow's forelegs and began to gnaw on it and the German Shepherd chuckled lightly. "You're bite's getting stronger, Angel. You've been practicing like I told you, haven't you?" Shadow praised before she gave the pup a tender lick on the forehead.

Bright blue optics looked around for Tala and found her standing beside her father and Shadow couldn't help but smile. Shadow then realized she had more important things to talk about than how everyone was doing, and with that she looked hard at Indy. "My chief wants to have a word with you in his master's office. I'll escort you there." The black hybrid pivoted on her paws and began making her way towards the front doors of the station, only stopping to look back to make sure her partner, and his daughters, were following.

Indy's family walked through the police station which seemed to a bustle of activity. Officers bringing in criminals, dogs training on the field, it was utter chaos but soon the activity seemed to be toned down allowing Indy to talk to his partner. Whisper's death didn't seem to affect her in anyway but he knew they were like sisters and they worked together beautifully though he did have problems. Shadow and Whisper seemed to argue while they were off-duty and Indy could never seem to find out what those various arguements were about. That didn't matter but he did need to ask something and looked over to her. "So how does it feel? It must be tough not having your rival next to you." he said and lightly chuckled but Shadow seemed lost in thought. "I do however want to know one thing. You and Whisper argued a lot while we were off-duty, what was it about? he prayed that he didn't hit a rough spot.

Tala and Angel were eagerly looking around as they made their way to the chief's quarter but Tala had only one thing on her mind....work. Tala was a prodigy in her class and had already reached the rank of Lieutenant at 2 while, Angel she had the academy to look forward to. It was all that Tala would ever seem to talk about that was until she saw a Tamaskan being escorted to a cell. The markings looked so familiar on that Tamaskan to Tala that she wanted to go and talk to him but she wasn't a part of the system quite yet and then caught up to Shadow. "Captain Shadow when can I officially start work I was working on this one case when were transferred here and I would like to start right away"
