Oh no, not this again. Be paitent, they Have. Lives. Too.
Here is what I wrote on the LAST topic about this.
I'm going to put my best two cents in.
From experiance, if there are too many Mods, it will get out of hand.
This forum is BIG. Yes, it may be divided up into two main sections, but still, it's big.
There are over 12160 members on this forum, and only 6 forum mods. Ok, so let's say that you are a Balto fan forever, but a Lion King hater, ok, so one day, every thing's fine in Balto land, but down here in Lion King land, it's bad, this one user keeps spamming, making useless topics, no, let's say 10 members, 10 VS 6, Ok? And the Lion King forums are looking pretty bad now, and then in Balto land it happens, 20 VS 6
And we all know there is most likely twice as many members on the main site than the forum. And many of them send in sometype of fanwork.
26 VS - 12160 X 2- Yeah, that's a lot. They have to work threw that.
The Mod's can't full-fill every need. They are just as human as you.
They can have a parent die, a pet. And most of the mods are Teenagers, and some adults. So they are busy, Gotta get out of High school, get into collage, pay the rent, buy food. They face that.
Buying food VS Moderting little kids on a kids site Winner = Buying food.
Most of them do this in there spare time, they can't do everything.
And as I said before, From experiance, if there are too many Mod.s, it will get out of hand.
I know they are doing there best, we could help out too, by Not making useless topics, contests, art, fanfics, images, and behave.
That could help them greatly, and hopefully speed things up.
So try maybe combinding your art together next time, and maybe just post your fanfics on the forum. It might help a little.

The mods (Myself.) DO come online, they just don't seem to be doing anything. I'm not trying to put any of my staff mates down, but they seem rather lazy lately.

And maybe they're celebrating the holidays and such.

For almost evryone it was jusy July 4th three-four days back.

Who knows? A lot of people are on vacation... maybe some of the mods are away too.

Considering the information in your profile I find it very hard to take you seriously at all.

Yeah, I have seen some lag in their duty when they are online, and are a bad example for the newer members. But I think pretty much almost all of the mods do a pretty good job.

Lmao, agreed Ghost. Anyway yes it can be irritating for fan artists when it takes a little longer for their art to be uploaded. But like Kohaku said, the mods have their own lives and issues to deal with outside of Balto Source. They don't have to be online every minute of the day, nor do they have to be on everyday. Also, as for your suggestion that we need new mods, I feel you are stating this out of annoyance more than pure fact and reason. This issue has been debated almost non-stop for the past two years or so, and a few changes have been made. So stop acting like your world is going to end and that the whole moderator staff should be cleaned out just because a couple pieces of fan art aren't being uploaded in the time alloted (sp?) that you feel they should be.

It's summer's vacation; most of the moderators (myself included) do not have the time to come online as frequent as we'd like.

The problems you're experiencing with submitted fan content should solve itself late August.

Actually Steet's helped us fix the problem already, now any mod can update the images and arts. Before only the art/image mods could.

It's exactly like Lux said, it's summer now and lots of people go on vacation or have family/friend things to go to.
Even I've not been online as much as I normally am.

If you need to show your pics to people straight away - upload them to Tinypic, Imageshack or Photobucket and show them that way until the galleries are updated. They're not going to be left indefinately and choosing new mods isn't as simple as picking a few names out of a hat, no one would like it if people were made mods and they went ban-happy now would they?

I concur,and have to second that,it is best that pics get uploaded onto Tinypic,Imageshack,or Photobucket,and just like regular members,they also take vacations.
