Okay, I honestly didn't know how to get this across effectively other than making a topic on the forums, and the rant board was the only place I could think of to make it...So sorry if this belongs somewhere else or there was some other way I could have said this. And I won't be surprised if it gets locked.

Uchihazan is a good friend of mine from DeviantART, and she recently asked me to get the 12673673 or so of BaltoSourcers using her line art here to take it down. The reason being that she's had issues with theft, and as she isn't a member here, she can't keep track of it and make sure appropriate credit is being given.

Since she made the templates, they've been popping up everywhere on the main site and forum. (Example, on my Lyariah comic cameo contest, EVERY SINGLE ENTRY was coloured Line art by Zan) And Zan is not happy about it, as she specifically asked that resent line art be kept to DeviantART. This shows that certain members here aren't respecting the artists...

And in the Fan Characters section, her templates have popped up a lot too.

If anyone has sent coloured in line art by Uchihazan on this website, please remove it. She does not wish for it to be resent anywhere besides DeviantART. And guys, make sure you take stuff like this into consideration before using ANYONE's line art. Lots of people make...Rules. And have the right to do so. They are normally conveniantly found directly below the drawing in the description, so please read them before you use. If you don't respect them, they'll probably end up taking the templates down and not making any more.

Also, if anyone is active in the Fan Characters section you could help out by reporting any Characters that are using Zan's line art.

(And again, I realize it's not exactly a rant. .__. But like I said, it's the only way I know to get the point across)

And don't anyone bother with calling me a hypocrite when I use her line art in the future. I have permission to send it here, because she trusts that I'll give credit.

I'm safe. I haven't ever scene her art before. If I see any, I'll let the people know to remove them.

Well, with your Lyaria contest I thought you wanted us to use that lineart and I didn't see her page.

BUT, you're absolutely right. The same thing goes for all linearts from DA and other art sites. A lot of them say "show me what you do" or "link back" or "no use outside of DA" >.> people have to read these things carefully because lineart is easily stolen...

Could you show us an example of her art work so we know what they look like? [So we can report the thiefts]

I'll go ahead and post the ones I found in her dA gallery for reference. I'm assuming its all of her linearts? I'll post them all just to be sure. And to let others know which they are. (NOTE: newest to oldest)

And yes, be sure to report any you find so they can be removed. It might be tricky though, since they could be in any image gallery. I'll be sure to keep an eye out on the site, while forum mods will have to watch out and remove any used here on the forums. I fully understand her choice to limit it to dA. Some linearts I allow free use I only want used and posted on sites I use, such as dA and here, so I can keep some track of them.

I think people got that impression because I used the line art for a temporary Kaisyn reference sheet. But I don't remember saying "All of you use it too." I guess people just saw the line art and liked it.

Yus, well I saw that the couple of people before me had used it so I thought we were meant (or encouraged) too. But yeah... I think that kinda started a 'trend'. It is important that people know and respect the rules that artists set. Should this be added to the fan-image rules? Like, down the bottom say something like "Linearts from outside of BS should (whether the artists states it or not) give a link back to the original place they found it and respect all of the set rules of the artist." Or something like that. Or you could ban them altogether.

I won't try to change your opinion or anything, but if you look closely you'll notie many differences between both styles. The main one being that Zan's leans more to anime, unlike Deni's.

Compare this to this.

I can think of plenty differences, and I'll list them here. Keep in mind that every way that an artist draws something contributes to 'their style', so I'll be mostly be listing body parts. Feel free to list the similarities.

Eyes. (Eyes are actually an important factor, and is one of the reasons why Zan's art could be considered anime)
Ears.
Noses.
Muzzle shape.
Neck shape.
Fur. Deni's tends to be round, whilst Zan's is jagged.
Shoulders.
Forelegs. Zan's tend ot be shorter and thicker, Deni's are long and slim.
Claws.
Stomachs. You'll notice Zan makes the end of the Ribcage more visible.
Weight, too. Zan's are an average weight, Deni's are skinny.
Paws in general. It's hard to explain but Deni normally...Draws each toe on the paw, whereas Zan draws a few lines. (Really hard to explain)
Hindlegs, here's an important one. Deni's ankles tend to be higher and in general her style is sharp and toony, Zan's is rounder and a bt more natural. You'll notice this in the "thigh's". Simply put, Zan's are round and furry, Deni's are sharp.

Aaand there's my reasons for believing the styles are different.

I agree but; if the owner doesn't want them to be used, they shouldn't be used.

Honestly you should just respect the wishes of each individual artist. If some let you use their line art without giving credit, then fine. If some want you to get permission first, then get it. And if they only want their line art to be used on a ertain site, then keep it to that site. Simple.

I didn't see the notice that they wanted it on DA only. I used it twice and I know where it is, so they'll be taken down.

One is a contest entry I have to redo so it'll be up until I get a render or something done. I'm working on it now.
