Born in a Falling World

Many years ago, a disaster happened in the wild world that humans had no idea about. It caused havoc everywhere.. packs were separated, lives were destroyed, even the lights in the sky stopped for a moment. I remember when this happened.. my eyes had just opened that morning and the first thing I had ever seen was darkness. It was everywhere, the great light was covered by the silver paw and the ground was no longer there. The lower world came up, and the upper world went down. There was no longer a sky with no limits, or a ground to hold you up. It was a limitless floor, but bounded around us by a dark, hard sky.

Name: Charna
Breed: Red wolf
Gender: Female
Personality: Very skittish, mature for her age, and curious.
Age: Yearling
History: Revealed later on, has information about the overall plot.

Charna padded softly through ash-black snow. Softly sniffing the trees, she was desperately looking for a boundary mark.. she didn't want to walk into another pack's realm. Ever since she left home ..home really left her, everything was a battle. Charna had to fight for her life since her eyes first opened, and it seemed as if it would never stop.

She walked up to a turned over tree with roots sticking up. That would have to do
as a home for now.. afterall, it was one of the nicest ones she'd ever had.

Charna sniffed the air as black snow continued to fall.. some got in her nose and she sneezed.
"I hope I didn't wake anyone up..I really don't feel like fighting right now."

Suddenly, Charna froze. Her ears pointed upward like sharp claws, and her eyes danced around.
She heard footsteps.. and a wimper. "I have to go check this out.." Darting upwards, Charna padded slowly towards two unknown wolves.

Charna stood down at the sight of the dark wolf.. she was scared.

Taking a deep breath, Charna growled softly "I heard wimpering.. and I wanted to see if I could help. Things are horrible these days, we can't trust anyone.. not even our own packs."
Realizing she'd said too much, Charna took a couple steps back and distanced her self even more between the wolf. She couldn't let him know the story.. noone could find out the real story, or else.

Lightened a bit by Pitch's reaaction, Charna trotted into the den.
"Thankyou, the only shelter I had was a turned over tree."
Looking over to the silvery figure, Charna wimpered. It looked really bad, and she
was happy that she'd be able to help.
"We need to find some grass and feathers so we can get a bandage around her back.
Also, some snow would help heal the cut..but we have to get the ash out first. "
Charna said, taking charge. In her short year of life, she'd learned a lot about healing, and
how to stay a live. It was either learn, or die due to incompetence.

"Okay", Charna replied dashing out of the den behind Pitch.
She grabbed the largest peices of grass she could find under the dark, ashy snow.

This snow seems really warm...is it just me? But really, who knows whats going on
with this world.

Dashing back to the den, she found the silvery wolf lying on the cold floor again.
Everytime she saw the figure, chills ran throughout Charna's body. It was so horrible..
what could've done that to her and why?

"We have to wrap them up, and somehow get them to stay on her back", Charna answered.


I don't know..but whoever was after her, wanted that to be the end of it all.
The snow stopped, and it dark paw rose. It was daytime now, but the hours were so hard to get used to. A year ago, the dark paw rose infront of the great light and blocked it out. Ever since, the dark paw was the greatest amount of light the ever recieved..and it wasn't very much.
