Another deleted scene in the merchendise

Relating to the topic Deleted scene background, another finished deleted scene has made it into the merchandise. Only this time it isn't on the US DVD. It occured in the book, Balto the hero It apears to be picture(s) of a scene where Balto ran for Rosy's hat and her Dad shooed Balto away by kicking snow, but here it seems to be he's in front of a store with a broom.

Hmm, now it makes sense.

I noticed that shot in my copy of the book too, and I wondered why they took it out the movie yet kept it in the book. (Did they not think children would notice its absence?)

Personally, I think I would have enjoyed the complete scene . . . it sounds like a replacement of the later scene with Balto taking the blame for Steele stealing those sausages . . . except more violent. I LIKE IT.

Yes I think it's the same deleted scene too; I also believe that it was removed in the late stage of development, because the fact that it is on the book and the DVD and it's colored and everything...I wouldn't be surprised if it was deleted for rating reasons, to get a G rating (and if it's true, that's really a shame...)

I can't see any other good reason anyway...

At the same time, it's very surprising that a picture from that scene is on the DVD, because it was made 7 years (2002) after the release of Balto...So this gives hope that they still have that deleted scene somewhere. At least they had it when they created the DVD.
Why didn't they just add it to the DVD!!! That's nonsense...It's as if they don't include extras ON PURPOSE.
