Here is some information. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_obit_michael_jacksonEdited 2/14/12. Oh wow, I didn't even realize I was the one who made this topic. xD I gave very little information. Allow me to fix that. Sorry if some of this doesn't make any sense; I tried. xD Not that this topic will be brought back to life anytime soon. I also apologize for any other further historical mistakes. On June 25th, 2009, Michael Jackson passed away in his bed around 12:00PM in his rented mansion in Los Angeles, CA. His personal doctor made attempts at giving Jackson CPR. At 2:26PM Jackson was pronounced dead. Jackson's death is presumed to have been a homicide. His personal doctor, Conard Murry, was found guilty of manslaughter. Curry will be spending 4 years in jail. Micheal was not able to sleep that night. He was given drugs by Curry hourly. These included: anti-anxiety benzodiazepines: lorazepam and midazolam. As the hours passed, Jackson still couldn't sleep. He had been begging Curry to give him a powerful drug called propofol. Around 10:00AM, curry injected Jackson with the drug. Shortly after Curry found Jackson unconscious. Michael Jackson died from the propofol and cardiac arrest. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Ja ... _aftermathAbout MichaelMichael was born on August 29th, 1958 in Gary, Indiana. He spent his first years in a small 2 bedroom house. By the age of 5 Michael became the lead singer in the Jackson 5 group. Michael has stated in interviews that when he would be in recording studio he could hear other kids across the street playing games. He wanted so badly to be able to go and play with them. Michael sadly didn't have a childhood. He was either in the recording studio, singing or in a photo shoot. By 1982, Michael made his first big hit. Thriller, even till this day. Thriller sold over 50 million copies. Around this time Michael's appearance started to change. It was skepulated by the media that he had been bleaching his skin. This is a false fact. Jackson is proud to a African American. For the first time Jackson spoke out about this in a 1991 interview. Jackson has a skin disorder called Vitiligo. It causes your skin to lose all pigment and makes the skin transparent. This is why you saw Michael wearing long sleeves and carrying around a umbrella. This disorder makes your skin sensitive to sunburn or cancer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulQTZ7C4Tgwhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitiligo

Whether you loved him or hated him, one thing is for certain: he was truly a generation's John Lennon, the JFK of music and entertainment. He has the music that many different generations will love.
One thing that I hope that is not lost in this is that Michael Jackson, along with the Jackson 5, knocked down barriers for minorities to have that chance of stardom. When it comes to his music, no one had the success that he had, and chances are, no one will ever have that success, at least in our lifetime.
R.I.P. Michael, a true talent has been silenced.

I love Michael Jacksons music. It is a shame that he passed away. Another Great Musician passes into eternity. Too many before him went down that road John Lennon, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, and now Michael. It is a shame at how warped he became in his later life hopefully his legacy will be of his music and not of his faults.

RIP Michael Jackson
he wasn't one of my favourite singers but he was a good one, expecially when he was with the Jacksons 5 D: I read the notice 10 minutes ago on Virgilio, when I opened the intenet page, I thouht that was a joke but it was not...

Aye, it is quite a shock. >:
I didn't really like all his music, though I liked "thriller" but he's one of those people you imagine always being around, seeing on TV or in newspapers. Pretty weird to think he's not here anymore.
& Alpha Aleu - It's best here, it's not actually about music so it makes no sense to be in the music section.

JerseyCaptain wrote: Kola wrote: Oh dear, MJ was my old favorite pop musician... Even I don't like much his musics but, well... he was one of the best musician at the time. Well, vocalist. But I can find no mention of the fact - on any biographical page about Jackson (even those which are considered "official") that he was ever a musician. A dancer, a song writer, singer and entertainer yes. But not a musician. Interesting. I guess it's just a matter of opinion, official or not. I've always considered Michael Jackson to be musician since my definition of musician is someone who preforms music and showcases musical talent. Jackson wasn't the most formal musician, but what he did does fit my definition. How would you describe a musician, Jersey?
