Good lord...A fly? That is ridiculous. Its just a gosh darn fly, they don't have feelings. Its not like there endangerd. What is the world coming to?

This is utterly ridiculous, though with PETA behind it, it really doesn't surprise me. That organization should be shut down and its funds distributed amongst the populace for REAL endeavors. There are a lot of seemingly serious and helpful animal preservation groups out there, and PETA is not one of them.

Since they sent President Obama that humane fly removal device, there's a number of ways he can deal with it. Personally, I hope he publicly humiliates the organization.

The country's trying to free some reports in North Korea, reduce the nuclear threat around the world, and countless other things. And PETA complains about a fly.

I think that it's totally stupid that they're making such a big deal out of it. I mean I kill tons of 'em everyday and yet PETA hasn't shaken their finger at me in disgust.

Yes, it may not have been "nice" to the fly but it probably had hundreds of kids and would have died naturally soon enough anyway. The animal is a pest so for the PETA to make such a big deal out of this is ridiculous, a wast of their time, and just a stupid publicity stunt.

You have GOT to be kidding me! A fly. A simple fly brings an uproar. Okay, I understand that it's got the right to live, but seriously, flies die naturally in a matter of about 2 weeks. It was probably going to become a sqaushed little thing in someone else's house anyways. But that proves that, just because Barack Obama is the president of the USA, people have to pick at every little thing they can possibly get at.

Like everyone else I think this is absolutely ridiculous!
I know how irritating an distracting a fly can be buzzing around your head!
Besides The fly probably died quickly and painlessly. At least swatting a fly doesn't harm other creatures or he environment. Whereas using pesticides and sprays are much more likely to.
Flies, and other insect/parasite pests have their place in the balance of nature but Not in human society



I'm no fan of "extremist" animal welfare groups. A couple of other things I think PETA over react on is: Trying to get everyone to go vegetarian or Vegan, that's never going to work well. Encoraging people to buy humanely-farmed food (such as free range eggs) will be much more effective.

The other is Vegan cat and dog food, I mean Dogs and especially cats are carnivores,designed to eat meat correct? Cats HAVE to have meat in their diet, without it they can die as meat includes a protein called tauriene found only in meat, see link for more information

Honestly? This made me laugh. XD
I have got to wonder what goes on in the minds of PETA members, their supporters and donaters.

They don't seem to have caught on to the fact that pretty much every mammal hates flies. Heck, my dog will run around for hours after one until he finally catches it because he doesn't like them touching him.
Bless, I can just hope that they'll some day wake up.

I think killing fly's outside are wrong, I don't want fly's to be extinct (because then it would effect the food chain and cause problems with what the spider feeds on, exc.), but this is just ridiculous.



I personally believe all animals have feelings, including fly's.
