Photography is a very enjoyable hobby. I do a little bit of both traditional media rolls and digital when I do not have access to my darkroom supplies or when I'm lazy. :]

and who needs a video recording function for a dSLR anyway? o_<
Actually many do. SLR Cameras out-preform 80% of video cameras to capture true shadows and highlights. Regular video camera lenses are way too small to capture adequate light for any grays under its light sensor that reads only 18% of natural grays. DSLR lenses capture much greater sharpness and color detail (depending on the aperture size too.)
