No,animated avatars have been forbidden ever since Steet put the Site, and the Forum up,and that will be my two cents on the matter.

(how come I knew this topic was coming the moment I sent you that PM?)

Oh, stop whining already =/ There was nothing personal meant when I asked you to remove your animated signature pictures/avatar(s).

1) Animated avatars and signatures take up an unnecessary amount of space.
2) ---=--- takes up an unnecessary amount of bandwidth.
3) Not all people have computers which can handle animated avatars/signatures.
4) Animated signatures and avatars attract the attention of the reader, which may (more often than not) cause the reader to miss parts of that post and then misunderstand the post/misread the post. You know first-hand how often this happens.
5) Animated avatars/signatures can cause a moderate-to-large amount of lag.
6) The rule has existed since the dawn of BS (now called AnimationSource).
7) It will probably not be changed either.

A point which I would very much like to challenge, if you don't mind =)

It was made to rant about things on the site/forum. Not for people to whine about how they don't like a rule.

Whinning much? Whinning is diefinned as "Pouting" over something you wanted and didn't get.
It slows down people's computer's, including mine.
And plus, me myself will stare at an animated avatar for a long time, so it is discracting. And hey; they take a long time to load.
Hey look-
If you don't like the rule, then leave, there are other forums on the Internet that allow animated avatars.
Even though that this is a rant board, it doesn't mean to whine over something that didn't go your way; I haven't seen one user here at least in a year or so; [one complained in the Shout Box a loooong time ago] complaining about the Animated Avatars and wanting the right to use them.
This is a Simple answer;
Steet said no; He's the webmaster, so we follow the rules he made.

okay whatever.
i can't beleive how many people posted on this.
it's stupid.
the matter's already settled.
somebody lock it.

Then why did you post it if you didn't want anyone to post in it? I also agree this is stupid and from what I see it was settled in PM's and shouldn't have been brought up here. Indeed, it should of been locked before anyone posted in it.
