I made this "rant" earlier today, and the idea came up.Link here. Draco's only human and I don't expect her to heck the links in her Official Line Art topic all the time, however most of them ARE 'dead', and also it's a bit unfair on those who just recently sent lines. The list is in order of oldest > newest, so the people who were there first will get their line art viewed more, as it's right at the top of the topic (Given that the link isn't dead) so it's unfair on others.

Back to the suggestion. I do think a Lineart subsection in the Balto Fan Art section is a good idea. This way, people could each have their own topic where they can also get feedback. And even post their own "rules" of use for their line art. Since some prefer not to have them used on other sites and such) It would also make it easier to keep track of line art and to find some by a specific artist.

I think that is a great idea. That's all I can think of to say.

I do think it would be a better idea. I'm surprised no one brought it up before now that I think about it XD It's even a pain for me sometimes when adding new lineart to have to scroll down the whole page, or go looking for the username, which might have been changed since last. Would make it easier on other members searching for a certain artist's lineart.

But if Steet doesn't want to add the section, I'd be willing to edit the page. Though I'll be going through sooner most likely to check the links. But I could always change the order of them to alphabetical or something too.

I'm ok with this - the only problem I can see is that : if I make a Balto lineart subsection, then I would probably need to add one to the Lion King and Talespin sections. I would prefer to keep the same sections for each.
Although this might be a special case, as we need this section because there are too many topics posted in the Fanart section.

It may make it trickier to find, but couldn't you just add it to the General Fanarts section?

Depends on what you're planning to add as linearts. If they are Balto-related, it should stay in the Balto section...

General fanarts should be fine seeing as most of those posted in the Balto section are either huskies or wolves, and while they're in Balto they're not directly Balto.
You kinda can't make linearts of actual Balto characters because.... that's silly. And cheating. And probably stealing.

Same goes for TLK and TS.

I'd like to add as well, that I've seen plenty of people post dog/wolf related art in the general fanarts and not Balto without anyone pointing out their mistake or moving it. That goes for lions/cheetah ect. as well.

Err...And why? As long as they're not based directly on screenshots, but linearts you drew yourself, I don't think so.
Anyway, maybe it would be better in the "General fanarts" then...

The idea of pre-made lineart is for people to colour in however they see fit.
If it's a balto character and made to be coloured as balto that pretty much defeats the purpose of it.
It also defeats the purpose of people making their own fanart if they're colouring in pre-made Balto lineart.
Might aswell just render it.
