Ok so this is carried on from another topic that I was in about daemons, and someone suggested that someone make a discussion topic about it as the whether they are real or not, and this is only your belief so no one is right or wrong.

Now I am going to lay down a few rules here, they are very simple and if everyone sticks to them this will not turn into a shouting contest as to whose opinion is right.

*Now firstly, and this is probably the most important rule, is no criticizing other people’s opinions on this topic, it is only asking whether you think daemons are real or not and why, I don’t want people saying DAEMONS ARE SOO NOT REAL, YOU ARE AN IDIOT TO BELIEVE IT, or something like that, it is stupid and rude

*The second rule is to at least present a few of your own opinions as to why you think daemons are real or not, don’t just say that you think they are real, say why, put forwards opinions or links to websites that have convinced you or something, a good example would be ‘I think that daemons are real because I always hear two voices in my head, one that sounds like me and one that sounds completely different and I don’t think about what that voice is about to say, it seems to do it itself’.

Is everyone clear on that? If so then post away.

I believe in daemons and I don't see the harm in it. So I wonder as to why it is hard for people to believe in them?

The same reason why people don't believe the tooth fairy or other such creatures... what they don't see doesn't exist.

What MY question is, is why you've bothered to make another Deamon topic when there's clearly one already in existence.

The other one was introducing your daemon if you had one, it wasn't for saying that they don't exist or anything like that, it is all about what daemons are like and how attatched you feel to them etc. This is not another topic that says 'yes I have a daemon which is blah blah blah' it is about whether you think they exist or not and your opinion, and in the other topic one of the people asked someone to make this into a seperate discussion topic, so I did because someone had come on saying that hearing voices in your head could be a mental condition. I just thought that rather than saying you think they don't exist in a topic that is all about why you think they do exist, you should post it in a topic where you won't have loads of people gang up on you against your belief and where you can get a decent argument.

If you don't think that is a very good argument then by all means delete this topic (I thought it was )m and no hard feelings or anything.
