I figure most people would say either resident evil or silent hill (which i both enjoy tremendously) but I'd have to say (in my opinion) the rockstar game "Manhunt" is the most terrifying game ever made. Just the thought of large groups of people hunting you down, forcing you into the shadows should be enough to send chills down your spine. Not to mention it's probably the most violent game i've ever played. Now I would like to hear what other people think is the most terrifying game they've ever played.

and just for the record, i'm talking about the first manhunt, the second manhunt was horrible.

F.E.A.R was one of the most terrified games I've played. It wasn't THAT scary except you get scared at some points. It is a enjoyable game anyhow- though I really recommend that the player has good nerves since it is nerve breaking at some points especially if unknown happens

well i never played a horror game that scared me as i avoided them most often, but once i played farenheint ( think thats the spelling ) and scared the Beep out of me in the second mission and somehwere near end of game O.o

like i was abit younger so i scare easier, and on a mission was just cleaning face and face appeared behind me and O.o scared me from playing it again

but my friend started to play it and enjoy and near the end you in a orphanage and theres one hallway your at one end and this robed guy at other and you got to run to middle to enter this exit door. sounds simple but its SOOO freaky when i was watching him walk up to me like that.


gues not the most terrifying game.. but first one i played, now i do play alot more blood and gore games such as gears of war, which dont scare me really. but i probly still going to avoid games that would scare me.

Doesn't Dead Rising have some humor to it?

I'd say one of the old "Alien" video games. My friend played it in the dark, and yeah, with aliens running out from behind every corner, you not knowing where they're going to come from, it was REALLY scary.

I did see a friend recently playing "Bloodshot Condemned" but I didn't see a whole lot of it. However, the sheer premise of it sounds scary enough.

Alright no one may believe me or will just laugh at me but there was this really old Harry Potter game(silly right?) and I was young and a bit of a scardy cat. It was a compture game and some doors would lead you to missions and stuff,but there was this one time when I got to the basement or something and there was some bones on the ground. Some couple of steps and they would become walking skeletions and I would scream and climb some blechers and just leave the game there......Yeah,I was a wimp!

Before the HArry potter,the was this Rugrats game for my nindento 360. There was this part were Chucky was at this karate pplace kicking still boards,but then they would become flyinf folating walking this! It scared the c***p out of me. I was young at the time to, I would scream and cry as I fought them..

Alien Trilogy got me terrified. I did not sleep for two days.

Clock Tower the one with that irritating doll, and no game is more messed up then silent hill, creatures that move with there joints popping in and out to make abnormal and disturbing movements with screwd up apperances lol silent hill wins for me, especially the 5th one^^

Love messed up games like that!

Not many games come to mine for me that were terrifying and memorable. But I do have a few to mention.

Resident Evil 4 for Game Cube and other systems was a great fear game for its time.

One of the most messed up game out there I think is Eternal Darkness. I never had a chance to play it mind you, but it is the only game that I know of that screws with the in the ways that it does. Surely one of the more unique games ever created.

There is one game I know of that really had me and my friends frightened to no end. Surprisingly enough, it's not a game you'd think would scare anyone. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time is the game. At the time around its release, my friends and I couldn't stand dark, creepy, ghostly, and dead areas. Thus, it was pretty much impossible for us complete Link's trip into the bottom of the well and, if ever we got there, the Shadow and Spirit Temples. The Shadow Temple being the worst case over the Spirit. I'm serious about this: these areas of the game had us petrified at the time!

I use to get the crap scared out of me by System Shock, and System Shock 2. Its been years since I last played them, but dang just thinking about creeps me out. I remember it took place on a star ship overtaken by some alien being. Whenever a security camera spotted you about a dozen zombies would come out from every direction making creepy noises, and then beat the living crap out of the main character.

Doom 3 had me changing my pants on more than one occasion.

The most terrifying game I had ever played, is Resident Evil 4, but it is the better too =D

Left 4 Dead was the most scary game I've ever played, it was so freaky....and in the hospital scene there is a dead NAKED body! And you could see all his....bits. That was truely horrifying.
