I happen to know two key voice actors from the series: Michael Gough(Col. Spigot) and Pat Fraley(Wildcat).

Does anybody here want to ask some questions? Or ask the characters questions?

The big list of Talespin characters with their voices, can be found here :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ta ... characters

I may write an article about the voice actors from the show (or someone else may too)

I'll just say that Balto fans should know Jim Cummings (voice of Steele), who is one of the best voice actors ever, and does an impressive amount of character voices in Talespin (including two major characters : Louie and Don Karnage) while sounding always different...
And Maurice La marche (voice of Balto in the sequels) is the voice of a one-shot character in one episode.
Don't know if there are others, these are the ones I have noticed.

I still hasn't find one voice that didn't fit the character, they were all very well chosen...especially the main characters.

EDIT : I think I have found a character missing in that list : Joe "The barber" from "Save the tiger" - or am I mistaken?

I don't really know of any specific/serious questions to ask... I guess I would like to know if either of them (Gough or Fraley) met or had much interaction with the other voice actors or production staff from the series. Particularly I would be interested to know how they would rate their experience voicing TaleSpin characters against the other voice acting they have done. I suppose my last question would have to do with reprising roles. That is, if Disney were to suddenly wake up and realize (and care) that the vast majority of their more recent ventures stink like hot garbage, and decided to resurrect some of their old shows (like TaleSpin), how would the voice actors feel about reprising their old roles. I think I already know the answer to that last question, but I would ask anyway.

This isn't exactly related to the voice actors, but it's even better...

I have found a way to contact Jimn Magon, the creator of Talespin!!! (I'm not giving the link because I fear he may get overcrowded with questions, but it was really easy to find actually...)

And even better than that : he answered me and he definitely IS Jymn
Here's his answer :

Quote:
Hi Steve - Yes, you've got THE Jymn Magon. (I don't know of any others.) You site looks stunning - good work. Just a thought - I don't know much about website design, but if you wanted to create a place for me to field questions from your fans, I'd be happy to oblige (when I have time). Lemme know!

And I'd be happy to do an interview.

Best,
Jymn

Wow - the creator of Talespin himself saying that my site is stunning, I'm SOOO happy!!! :D

Anyway, following his question, I have offered him to create a specific section on the site so that to centralize the questions of the fans - similar to the "Ask questions" page.

I'll be sure to tell you whenever everything is ready, so that the TS fans among you can post your questions :)

If anyone wants a full TaleSpin Voice Talent list and the Disney credits; plus links to sources for even more credits: here's the link: http://cloudkicker.50webs.com/Info/vc_tribt.htm .

Joe The Barber I do believe is voiced by Patrick Zimmerman who voiced Ocelot in the Metal Gear Solid games.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Frank Welker (Buffy Vandersheme, animal vocals etc.); who has 618 productions to his credit; and did vocal effects for 28 major movies including a Harry Potter and Lord of The Rings movie. He recently even did three episodes of Pokemon (two Pokemons and a character).

Voice actors and actresses do work that no A-Star Hollywood star would dare to do: Stuff that makes it to the masses. Sure; many of them were in movies themselves, but a good chunk of their stuff is animation, video games, radio shows, plays, broadway musicals, audio tapes (Teddy Ruxpin comes to mind), commercials among others.

I also have a TaleSpin Crew Talent Tribute and TaleSpin Animation Tribute (all with less information; but interesting). I'm sure steet would be interested in the Animation Tribute since it has a lot of animators out of the Walt Disney Animation France unit.

Be sure not to read too much into them; since after a while, you do get information overload.

Interesting to see that most of them worked for Disney a long time, some being still at Disney feature or Pixar. And interesting to see that very few work for Dreamworks...even though it's the biggest animation company nowadays.
And even more interesting that no one seem to work on the current Disney TV shows!!
