Look, before we start, I'm not ranting about it but simply put, I'm afraid someone will post an extremely bias rant about it so I want to post a respectful place for people to voice their opinion before a disrespectful one is. As anyone that read in my 'April Fool Prank' rant, you know I care greatly about respect in this kind of thing. So anyway, I know some people are mad about this so I'm giving you a place to talk about it so long as you respect the people's opinions about this and those who may enjoy Talespin. My opinion? I don't particularally have one, Steet liked Talespin well enough to make a branch of Animation Source for it, I respect that. I like the spliting of Balto and TLK RP forums, that makes it less likely a TLK RP will die buried under Balto RPs or vise versa. Anyway, I've put my two cents in, please voice your opinions but KEEP IT RESPECTFUL!!!

I've heard quite a few people really don't like it.
Frankly, I can't quite understand it. Talespin Source looks really good and it's definately a not-very-well-known series. I only remember it vaguely myself, not a lot about it at all.
People have been asking about new Sources for years, wanting them. Steet is making them now. If you don't like the movie/series then don't go on the site.

I myself love the new site, maybe there are a few mistakes, but I am sure steet will work them out.

JerseyCaptain wrote: I commend them for the work involved, and wanting to expand and diversify the forum and site. The only issue I have (which is a minor one) is that Tail Spin, while a wonderful cartoon series, was short-lived. I should think that limits what can be said and done on that site. steet could have chosen a cartoon series (or cartoon movie) with a larger fan base. I was thinking (and have suggested on many occasions) Lady & The Tramp. We've seen here that there are many fans of that series. Or even The Secret of NIMH...from wihch you could not only talk about the movie, but the FOUR books which have been written (the original one, and the author's daughter's three books). Plenty of material there.
Still, I hope only the best for the new site. I guess we'll see how it plays out. I can't imagine, though, that too many preteens and teenagers know about Tail Spin. Hell, it came out when I was in college if memory serves (started in 1990), and only ran for a year before cancellation. I remember Tail Spin myself, I used to watch it on the Disney Channel all the time when I was a kid. I agree with your first statement though, that not many of this generation will know any, if much of the series. But that doesn't mean they can't learn, as that's what the site will be for after all. I hope TSS will be successful, if just to give the rest of us some good nostalgia 83 A Secret of Nimh and Lady and the Tramp would be good picks too, I love both, though the sequels could have been better. The best series or movies to go on would probably be the ones that either were very popular when they first came out, or ones that had sequels, which would coincide with the previous point. I'd personally love to see maybe American Tail/Fieval Goes West (come on, Don Bluth 8D), Arisocats, Lilo and Stitch, or Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron(sp?) versions, for some diversity, since we have nothing currently related to horses, and TLKS is more towards big cats and Africa. With Lilo and Stitch, you wouldn't believe how many of fan-experiments people have made up, myself included. I think its exciting that Steet's adding more and extending the forums for new material. Will draw more members in to the fan-bases.

I myself have, realy, never heard of "Talespin". It may be because Im only 12 and it may not come on where I live anymore or somthing. But realy I don't care for the new site. I respect that Steet made it bucause he realy likes it, but I don't think I will be a part of it. I think its a great site, Im just picky X3 Sorry if I sound rude.

I personally think Lady and the Tramp is the best idea, many of the Balto fans here are also fans of it. I think someone even wrote a cross over fanfic of it on this site...was that you Jersey? I don't know, I just know someone did it and you come to mind for some reason.

I think A 101 Dalmation (sp?) source would be good. (That's my opoion Though...) A Lady and The Tramp Source would be cool, a lot of people know about this movie.

Well at least now that the forum is made to support more than two sites, Steet has the option to make more. He's shown intrest in a Spiritsource, that horse movie, full name I can never remember. I thought that was you Jersey.

In my opinion, Talespin won't be as big as say, BS or LKS, but for those who do like TaleSpin can show their fandom somewhere.
What I would like to see is Bolt source, but its to bad Steet doesn't like 3d films.

I wasn't directly refering to any one person but just that I know some people on this site tend to be disrespectful towards others opinions, not a lot of people mind you, but enough it irks me. I think respect is one of the most importent things when it comes to discussing things. If I absolutely can't respect someone's opinion, which is rare and there are only about two things I can't do that with, both of which are unlikely to turn up on this child friendly site, I just don't post them. I would've replied to this previously but I forgot.
