Since the topic that was being used for this before was closed (the first post was deleted), I'm acting on Togo's advice and re-opening it here. Please note: * This is not in any way contrary to the rules. It's religiously non-specific, and therefore acceptable. (pre-recorded message) * This should be obvious, but apparently not. Political discussions are out of bounds. * Even if you don't believe in prayer, let us do it anyway. If you have a problem with someone telling another person, "I can't help you directly, but I care enough about your needs to try whatever may work," get a life.
If you're having trouble, there are people here who want to know, and to offer any support they can. If you have a need that you want people to pray about, speak out.

My parents recently filed bankruptcy. We already lost our truck (Though the bank hasn't taken it yet.) They could possibly take our are car too. I'm so afraid of losing my house and becoming homeless, but it seems to be comeimg to that. My parents can hardly aford food, so we go hungy most of the time till my Dad gets paid.

That will provide some small measure of relief. And there is a federal extension on benefits after the state level runs out...which can be renewed two times beyond the first extension. That conceivably allows for up to a year and a half of unemployment benefits to help. Have they tried applying for state or federal grants? There are green stamps and other programs to help those in need. Those can be applied for even if one or both parents are still working. In any case, I'm rooting for you and your family, MB. Remember the old adage: " it's always darkest before the dawn". If you keep hope, and some faith, things will turn around. Never forget that. My Dad works part time. He cleans at an animal shelter and at a Juvinial care center. My Mom on the other hand doesn't work, cause she's disabald. (She has a fear of working around people.) I don't know if they have or not and the same goes for any programs. I can suggest if they haven't. Anyway, thanks everyone and I will be sure to remeber that, sepp.

MightyBalto that is a tough situation and I will pray for you.
I'm praying for my best bud's brother who is sick with chronic headaches that torture him continously. They've seen tons of doctors and the best neurologists money can buy, but they simply are not getting anywhere with him. It is very sad to see a seven year old kid suffer like this. Anyway that is my prayer request.

Well, what of you, MB? Are you currently employed or are you not old enough yet to get a job? If you still go to school, I recommend that you try looking for a part-time job. I'm not old enough to have a job...
