This movie certainly deserves a thread of its own because I honestly didn't think that Pixar could top Wall-e but they have done more than that with this movie. The story in it self is fantastic within the first 20 minutes I had laughed, cried felt happy, sad and angry and had allready grown attached to the character of Carl. It's easy to grow attached to the characters because they were so well thought out funny and interesting, also the voice actors were perfect for their roles. I'm not going to spoil anything but it's just a fantastic movie so emotional and yet so funny and exciting at the same time so go see it lol. The animation is just what you'd expect from Pixar, it was flawless. Also don't think just because it's animation it's only for kids because it's for all ages.

Great movie, 10/10

I can't wait! Asthe great Pixar fan I am, I would LOVE to see it now, but I have to wait until... September 25. -.-

But I'm SURE that it will be great!

I do agree with Jersey on Dug. Dug's so lovable. ^^

Well, while I have yet to see it, and feel a little self-conscious about going into see an animated movie (even a Pixar one), I am drawn to what I have seen in the trailers. And the character Dug, with that collar he has (and the voice actor who gives him his voice), is really funny. I might just have to cut loose and go see it, instead of waiting for it to come out on DVD. lol

I don't know what type of movies you like but I would definitely recommend Up for the reasons being that it has an original story, fantastic visuals, it has some very touching moments as well as moment that made me burst into laughter. Whether you see it at the movie's or wait for the DVD I hope you enjoy it, as yes Dug is very funny and also Kevin is to

So, like, I went and saw it last night!

In fact, as I got into the theater, there were several groups of adults (and one or two singles, and a few senior citizen couples :!: ), a few families, a small group of preteens, and some young adults (college-aged) as well. So it was a pretty good mix!

As it turns out, the movie was a lot more than I anticipated it was going to be, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The opening backstory was very touching, and quite bittersweet at the end of it. And Dug proved himself to be a really nice guy who was also a very sympathetic character (given how Alpha and the others make a mockery of him). Kevin was neat, but I don't necessarily know that I found the bird to be excessively funny. Humorous, sure, but not rip-snorting hilarious.

What was great was that this was not one long-running joke and humor fest. The drama in the story was totally amazing!

Can't wait to add it to my collection when it comes out on DVD!

I'm glad you enjoyed it and yes it's a great movie for humor, drama and emotion. I'm looking forward to getting it on DVD as well, hopefully it'll have some great extra features as well.

If the DVD for The Incredibles is any indication, then surely there will be!

(Incidentally, even though it's produced by a different animation company, the previews for Ice Age 3 look awesome! And that G-Force thing looks pretty cool too!)

As soon as the DVD comes out here in Australia (which won't be for quite a white yet) I'm going to buy it. I don't have the Incredible’s DVD but by the sounds of it if that's good there's a good chance Up's will be to.

I'm really looking forward to Ice Age 3 I really liked the first two, but the one I'm really looking forward to is Toy Story 3! I must have been so young when the first one came out, it's taken so long for them to make this so hopefully it'll live up to the first two. I didn't see any previews for G-Force.

One of the best I've seen in a long time. I love every second of it. They kept it exciting and fun the whole way, the characters were, as Jersey said, really easy to grow attached too, or in the case of the villian, love to hate. They did a real good job with the villian. Kevin was intresting as well, I loved Dug and felt bad for how the other dogs treated him but loved his happy ending. Carl was a great hero, I felt sorry for him from the back story they gave him and it was fun to watch how his realationship with Russel grow as the movie progressed and how it ended up. I honestly say this is going to be a classic, its a heartwarming family film with just the right ballence of humor, seriousness, and action, a great film!

Well I think its out, or is coming out, on video, for those intrested.

Also, I found this rather touching story about this:

In June 2009, a 10-year-old girl from Huntington Beach, California was suffering from the final stages of terminal vascular cancer. It is reported her dying wish was to "live to see the movie" despite the advanced stage of her disease. However, due to her deteriorating condition, the girl was unable to leave the family home. As a result, a family friend contacted Pixar and arranged for a private screening. A Pixar employee flew to the Huntington Beach home with various Up tie-in toys and a DVD copy of the film. The child could not open her eyes, so her mother described the film to her scene by scene. The young girl died approximately seven hours after the screening ended.

Copied and pasted. I just thought it was kinda touching, and kinda fits the heart in the film.

I have not seen it yet, but I want to. My friend Linn says it's great and that she was laughing like crazy through the whole movie!

I liked this movie. It was a good one. Plot was excellent. even if unrealistic, it was good.

We need to get the DVD... we don't have it yet.

Ok, so I finally saw this movie and I loved it. It was so incredibly cute and funny. Not to mention sad at times. I have to say, Dug was my favorite character of all. He was so cute. My fav line by him is "I was hiding under your porch because I love you. Can I stay?"

I also like "My name is Dug. I have just met you and I love you"
