"Leaving" Yaaa right.

I do not know if the mods will lock this, but I just want to get this out-
It truely annoys me when I see anybody go "I'm leaving" and they really mean it; but they keep their profile still, and whoops! 3 days later "hey i am back!!!!11" [And yes, I am aware of the 3 month wait for deleating profiles]
I do not know if this is a problem but it is anoyying; and when people really do leave, they leave their profile around [This part may be agreeing with the suggestion topic for removing dead profiles]
And then I see many members complain about this site's Drama Problem, and yet stay on. I mean- If you "complain" about the site so much to where you don't like it, just go, delete your profile.

I know there is no solution for this- But I just really wanted to get my say out here. And I see many members have the "I'm gone" thing on their profile, I believe I had something like that on my profile, but I took it down when I relized my computer would let me back on.

I noticed that too...if you go to 'members' in the forum and sort the names by rank, you'll see 100+ pages of members who have zero (0) posts.

I know, I searched it today too. It was a huge amout in my point of view.

That's about people who are gone and this is about people saying they are leaving.

Well i guess its annoying dosnt bother me very much. But steet if i remember right will go through the profiles from time to time deleting the profiles that seem like no one uses. But even if you dont delete your profiles....why is that annoying? Do you go through all the pages and look who is using them or not? :lol:

Why? Just a question that popped in my head when i was reading your rant.

Steet takes care of them and yeah you should delete your account "If you're really leaving" If you possibly can...i dont know for sure if you can yourself never tried lol But i wouldnt bother going and looking who deleted what.

Yes i know, I'm just asking why would you even bother with going and checking profiles? To see if they have left or not? Thats the only part which i still dont get.

I've been through that.

Generally when I'm upset or fail to get along with certain members on other forums I generally contact to mods and let them know I'm going to go somewhere and cool off. So far I haven't resorted to start a thread to tell people I'm leaving because of: da da da dah. :wink:

While I agree its annoying when People do these type of things, like go all around the site posting "I'm leaving Bla bla bla" all over the place, sometimes they leave for good, sometimes they only stay gone for a few days, like you metioned before and then you have your occassional "I'm leaving" and they never go anywhere.. They mainly do it for "Attention" only, ...

I myself have Left this site twice, with No intentions on coming back ever, deleted my account and everything, but found my self coming back a while later, Course I didn't even tell anyone, I really don't see any reason for spouting it out all over the site..

I know some people leave for good reasons, but when someone does it for attention, that is when it gets ridiculous.. but sadly there isn't much you can do about it , well at least not from what I know..

It would be nice if they'd delete their accounts, whould save space on this site..

It's like this one guy on my IM list who threatened to kill himself at least once a week without fail and say "IM me back if you don't want me to do it." No one would reply. Why? Because we knew he'd be back the next week to threaten to kill himself again.

People who announce they're leaving are doing it for attention. Don't give it to them.
