Well yeah, I always thought that Nikki, Kaltag and Star hung around Steele so that

a) they would be popular and get noticed
b) so he wouldn't beat them up
c) Steele threatened to kick them off the team
d) all of the above

I think perhaps all of them could've happened, but a) is my main guess.

Because we know that they didn't like Steele at all, and while they may have had a small fear or dislike toward wolf-dogs they accepted his heroics and appreciated him for it. I'll edit this with some quotes.

I might disagree with Vivid i think that b) might of happened because went you look at steel he looks like a mad man,so they have to be his "friends" in order to live. allears.gif

Yeah, I don't think that they were evil, they were just following him so that they could be popular and not be on his bad side like Balto was. I do think that they were a little spine-less because they only stopped pretending to liike him when he was ostracized by everyone else and he could no longer retaliate.

Sure, go ahead. I think you should make an article.

And yes, they were a little spineless, although interestingly enough Star was the bravest of all of them (contrary to popular belief) because he was the one who said "What's with Steele? All Balto was trying to do was help..." which all the dogs were thinking by that point.

But yeah, I do agree with you Liger.

(Ostracized? Lol, I had to guess what that meant!)
