I was recently drawing a picture of Balto and his mother, Aniu, and I noticed something about 'the white wolf.' Everyone knows that there has been a lot of talk of wether the white wolf in Balto 1 is the same as Aniu in Balto 2: Wolf Quest. I just found out, they may not! I took a close look at the eyes, and look what I found! (They're not the same!) Attachment: 348.jpg Attachment: 406.jpg Please tell me what you think about this!

I suggest reading the interview which steet posted. This issue has been settled. hmm... I guess I should've checked that... But still, how come they are the same if their eyes are different?

Well, technically it all depends on who you'd rather believe. The creators of the original Balto would surely have mentioned if the white wolf in the first movie had any relations to Balto OTHER than it simply SYMBOLIZING his wolf side. There is also like an Inuit legend or something that says a white wolf will appear to people lost in snow storms to show them the way back home.
Phil Weinstein intended them to be the same, but he was never involved with the original Balto, nor had he even SEEN Balto before he even MADE Balto 2.
So take your pick.

What Cat said. P=
I prefer to believe they're not the same wolf. They just look too different to me. Until the B1 producer says the white wolf was intended to be Balto's mother - that's how my opinion is staying. x]

I could really care less, but I'm not going to repeat with what has been said above.

GhostlyVividDreams wrote: I always thought that they were the same wolf, but like cat said it could have been another wolf.Perhaps maybe a male whtie wolf that wanted to show Balto the way home? Yea, the creators of Balto addressed the wolf as a "he". Which was a real no-brainer because its waaaaaaay too masculine to be female. But like I said, it all depends on who you'd rather believe. I just think I trust the original creators more than some guy who'd never even see the movie at the time xD
