Okay, well this happened to me twice, maybe three times now. I'm not sure if it's able to be changed and I'm not sure whether this should be a rant or a suggestion or what. But, am I not the only one who has been creating a character, typed out ALL the info (which took me at least half an hour) and then you press submit, huzzah... and then it says something about a character already having the same name. So you say, alright then, you press return and then... wut. Your epic history and all your detailed stuff is kaboom. There goes half an hour.

I was just wondering if there was a way to make so that when you go back that stuff is still there? Because it's reeeaaaallly annoying.

The easiest thing you can probably do is open a word document and write there. Then save/copy/paste it when you're done, and you won't lose the info if the name is taken.

Yes, that's probably the best idea but it's very easy to forget. Like last time when I didn't forget, I copied the info before I hit submit. But it would be better if this could happen anyway.

I haven't had a problem with names, but more, when I add the icon and full body image with the information, the text will be erased when I go back to view and make sure everything went through O_o It's happened to me atleast three times now and its irritating.

As for your issue Vivid, since the search on the character page has glitches, such as a character may exist but when searched doesn't appear, the best I can offer is add VE or something after the name of the character. And be sure to copy all the text before posting, just to be sure it doesn't end up being deleted. And if it is, you can just go back and paste it all back and resubmit it.

I need to add a "name check" on the form page, probably in Ajax; and I'll prevent from submitting the form if the name is already taken.
But when you go back, you will always lose the information you typed (unless I add an HTTP "modification date", which I'll probably do but can be a bit tricky)
As for the description being deleted, I think I have corrected the bug in the next version of the site that I'll put soon.

this happened to me lot of times too Oo I wrote a ton of stuff about the character and when I went to check the new character page, there's only the headshot and the fullbody pic!


unluckily some names, like Cat14 already said in a rant or in another topic, don't show up even if they exist or if you search them, that's the bad thing...it happened to me, I had to make a char named Li, I searched to see if someone already had the name but they said that there wasn't a char with that name, good, I make my char and what happened? "Unable to create the character. Maybe a character with the same name already exist" O_O I re-searched the name but nothing...after some time I knew that someone already have a char named Li and it has a char page! But when I searched, it didn't show up

If you had that problem, then why didn't you report it? They're not going to be corrected if I don't know about them...

This had happend to me, so I just save it on word.

You know, if you just click the back button on your window it will go back and there your 'epic history' and all that will be :3

Actually this should work now (going back without losing info), because I added client cache since then. That wasn't the reason I added it, but at least it corrected the problem...

Nope. This has happened to me about three times. Even if I press back it's not there. And copying/pasting could work, but the thng is, I myself tend to forget. I always mean to copy, just in case, but it's hard to remember every single time.
