Alright, most AS members have one or several characters they REALLY like to use in their RPs. The character section on the main site, to my knowladge, says its for fanfiction, fanart, ect. I'm wondering if a section ether in the Fan Characters or the forum for RP characters would be posible. Reason being, it could help someone thinking up a privite RP with the person have some idea what that person is into and it would also help making bios for characters go quicker as they'd already have the information avilable and be able to modify it for the RP they are joining. Just a suggestion, if I'm wrong about the main site's Fan Character's section, please correct me.

Well that's of course another purpose it could serve. It could be useful for a lot of things, I just posted a few to keep it short.

I think it would be good for members, rather then if they use the character's bio 135 times, just link it. I think it will also to manage the character if the Bio's change.

That's another good thing, it would bascially make that all they'd need for the bio is a history suitable for that RP. That would save time and the RPs would generally be easier. Though I think requiring a picture like the other fan section shouldn't be in it, as a lot of people aren't skilled artistically enough to make a pic for their character. Anyway, I think this would make people able to write RP bios much quicker and thus make it so they can start quicker and are less likely to die.

I'm not sure to have clearly understand, but I guess I could make a separate category for RPG characters. This will go to the to-do list.

Thanks. LEt me fully explain it. My suggestion was basically that, a seprate section for roleplay characters, ether in the forum or in the character section. It seems you're planning to do the latter one, fine by me.

I was saying, on the site. But adding a simple section on the forums is much quicker of course.
I need to reorganize the RPG sections on the forums anyway, so I guess I'll add it...(but this will be a "shared" section, shared between all "sites")

So you mean for both Lion King Source and Balto Source basically? Seems better to me. As a rule, I think it would make since that those wishing to do so post one thread for all their characters instead of a thread per character, it would save a lot of space.

One thing to mention, My Lion King (I was a member of that site, but I left) has an exactly the same thing on their forums: http://www.mylionking.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=38 . I dislike this idea,cause...I dislike to need to link char's page to RP. I was used to filling the bios, and I like it. I wouldn't want this to happen.

I don't really see why they couldn't be jumbled in with the other, regular characters, honestly. I mean, most rp characters tend to have pictures (so long as they aren't someone else's, they're ok to use) and really you could just paste a handy link to all of the rps that said character is in under the description, couldn't you?

That's an idea, the easiest way is simply alter the rules so they don't need to be in fanfics, fanart, ect., that's the main reason we can't do this already. I mean if a character IS in a fanfic or such, that's one way but some characters don't have fanfiction incarnations, so they can't be posted there because, if memory serves, its rules require it to be in a fanfiction or fanart.

Soutenu Pour, I see your point but the thing is, you wouldn't HAVE to use the function, you could just fill out bios like always. The point is, this is just an easier way to access your character's info.

I'll definitely bring that up, but I'd probably bring it up as a change in favor of adding rps to the list of things a character needs to at least be in, and then the links to said rps would be required to be posted in the character's description. If that happened, I'd have to be more careful about deleting old roleplays, but that wouldn't be much trouble.
