Balto awoke to the sound of light padding footsteps outside the boathouse door. He trotted out to investigate, expecting to see a human of some sort. He was surprised to see not a human, but a great white wolf. "Aniu- Mom," he said cautiously. "Come in." The magnificent wolf stayed where she was, but spoke. "My son, I have but a simple message for you. My pack has died down to only four of us, and we need you." With that, she turned, trotted off, and disappeared into the evening mist.

Ok, so that pretty much explains it. Aniu's pack has dwindled down to four wolves, and she wants Balto to join them. Balto is torn- Kodi, Jenna, and the other dogs of Nome want him to stay, but Aniu and her pack, who have befriended Balto, want him to be wild. Even though Balto doesn't want to leave Nome and his friends/family, hi is drawn to Aniu's promised life of freedom. Will he go? Gotta RP to find out!!

RP Example: Aniu ran alone, silently pursuing the white-tailed doe and her fawn. When she got close enough, she leapt upon the smaller animal. Within minutes she had brought it down. Aniu gorged on the warm flesh, proud of herself for catching a young fawn without the help of her pack. Thinking of her "pack" she quickly his her kill and ran off to find them.
Other: Balto's father is gone at the moment; he may return later in the story.

RP Example: Koka trotted along the shoreline, the cool water lapping at her feet. Suddenly she stopped, ears pricked and alert. Koka, queen of the chase, had spotted something farther down the beach. Then she took off, shooting after the now-in-flight flock of sea-gulls.
Other: the name "Koka" actually mean "Todd" in Hawaiian, but Koka's parents liked it for her.
