"You ready Range?" Holt whispered, sliding silently off of the saddle. Ranger nodded reluctantly, unable to shake the feeling of guilt buried deep in his gut. He peered over the top of the bushes, and saw the faces, lit by the small fire that was in the middle of them. He saw Holt raise his hand and glanced over his shoulder at his fellow cowboys, crouched in the bushes behind him. Holt pulled the trigger on his gun, sending a loud bang that echoed off the trees. In that instand all of the cowboys were on their feet, rushing at the small camp of indians with one mission, to take the horses.
Cooper Holt and his group of cowboys were sent on a mission. Holt's sergant sent him on a mission, and if they failed Holt would never see the end of it. The price of wild horses was rapidly increasing and the only place to get them was from the indians. After finding a small encampment of native american indians, Coop led his comrades to attack the camp and take the horses, capturing some of the indians in the process. Holt's youngest, most inexperienced, but best rider was Tex Ranger (more commonly known as Ranger or Range). Tex firmly believed that capturing the indians was a good idea, they could help them find more horses. But one of the indians they captured (who was named Nenoka) was slowly convincing him otherwise. At first the two were enemies, not being able to bear the thought of even looking at one another, but when a life and death situation happens and Range saves Nenoka's life, they start thinking differently about one another.

Personality: Tex is very knowledgable about horses, droving, and pretty much everything about cowboys even for his young age and he likes to show that off, he is more gifted than a normal cowboy and kind of lets that get to his head, but he actually is very kind and caring, this side of him comes out more after he meets Noneko. He is somewhat cocky and NEVER shows his true feelings, gets a big head whenever his group comes into a town because all the ladies have an obession with him, old or young.
History: Tex's father, Wild Ranger, was known as the best drover on the south side of Texas, he could drove any herd of cattle, not matter how big it was, and he could do it with only two other people, his wife Mary, and his cattle hand Theha. Soon Wild and Mary decided to have a child, and thats how Tex was born. Born in a tent, during the middle of a drove, from the first moment he was born Tex was on a horse. Thats how he grew up, helping his father and mother drove, riding on the same horse as his mother until he was 6 when his father thought he was old enough to have his own horse. When Tex was 15, his mother died giving birth to her second child, sadly the child died too. Wild was devestated, crushed, and didn't know what to do, but he didn't abandon Tex. But he did come more sloppy with his riding, and Tex would often have to run after a stray cow that would get away from the herd. One day, Tex, Wild, and Theha were riding near a very well hidden indian camp. The indians saw them and wanted nothing to do with the white men so they shot both Wild and Theha, and tried to shoot Tex but shot his horse instead. Theha died instantly, a shot right in the heard. But Wild got an arrow right in the stomach, leaving him with a slow death. That gave Tex more time to talk to his father before he died. Wild gave Tex his most prized posseion (besides his own son) and that was his horse, Ringo WhiteWind. Tex couldn't bear to leave his father there, but the indians were returning, intending to kill Tex as well. With alot of convincing, Wild made sure that Tex left without him. Wild's death was a huge loss but legends began, about the drovers great son Tex, with the fastest horse in the world. Wild Rangers old friend/enemy Cooper Holt heard news about Ragers son and decided to pity the young fatherless fifteen year old. He sort of took in Tex, bringing him on all the missions his sergant sent him to do. Tex didn't like Holt very much but he was a good father figure when Tex didn't have one.
