Two sisters are born in the street in the dead of winter. They are desitned to forever be street dogs because their mother is a wolf and their father a husky. Luckily, one sister looks just like her father and one looks just like her father. Knowing that it was the only way, the two young dogs take one of the sister's and say their last good-byes. One and a half years later, the husky looking sister is the second lead of Anchorage's racing team and her mother is expecting her second litter. The sister thinks that her father's mate is her mother and the sister is a purebred husky. Meanwhile, the wolf looking sister is the heir to the pack and her mother has just had two more pups. She also thinks that her mother's mate is her actual father and that she is a pure bred wolf. But one thing the two have in common is feeling like they don't belong on their world. The husky sister longs to run free and the wolf sister longs to be with people. When they accidently meet, what do they decide? How do the parents deal with seeing their first loves? How do their new mates react to all this? How can this end well?

Alright, we can start now. Do you want to have a flashback, or start right before the sisters meet?

We'll start just before the sisters meet.But why have you put rookie and demon as wolf pack members?

Anyways, here's the starting post.

Bic:// Lily laid belly up on top of the alpha familes cave, the one dug into the mountain. There was a small ledge just open the entance of the cave that Lily spent most of her time when she was thinking hard about something. She could hear her little brother and sister playing in the entrance of the cave. Luna, the alpha female and Lily's mother, hardly let the two pups out of her sight. Lily tried to remember if her mother was that overprotective when she was a pup. Lily didn't really remember her puppyhood much. That was what had Lily laying on top of the ledge that afternoon. She was concentrating all her mind on remembering her past, trying to figure out what went wrong. Why didn't she fit in? No, she fit in just fine actually. She was a star hunter and a natural leader. Rather, Lily didn't want to belong. It felt... wrong. Why was it so wrong to be wolf?

Luna sat just inside the cave, the shadows protecting her from the afternoon sun. Her two newest pups wrested in the dirt as she looked on. Luna thought of her first daughter Lily sitting on that ledge all alone. Has she and Ronan made the right choice? Lily reminded Luna so much of her old mate. Lily acted so much like her father, like a husky bred for the races. Luna shook her head to rid her mind of these thoughts. She had made the right choice. Lily belonged here, in the wolf pack. She had to.

Sunny giggled as she pounced on her brother. But true to her charcters, Sunny flipped over Titan of her own accord and fell into the dirt. She gave a small yelp as she landed, but it wasn;t enough to alert Luna. Sunny often tripped over herself and others. She had two different yelps, the one when she once again tripped over her paws and the one when she was in actual danger. She stumbled back to her paws and turned back to Titan.

Scout hung a paw of the tree branch he was laying on. It was an odd sight to see a wolf in a tree, but it wasn't odd too see Scout in one. Some of the larger wolves teased him for his small size, but his slender build and long legs made him the fastest runner. And the only wolf in his pack that was able to shimmy up a tree. He glanced over at Lily, who was alone again. She, like Scout, had a place to escape too. Lily was a beautiful wolf, it was true, so getting time to herself must have been hard. But, still, there was something that nagged Scout about her. She was, in a word, different from the rest. Scout never was able to decide what exactly it was, but sometimes he didn't always feel like the only one who didn't belong.

Flower rested on her side, basking her swollen stomach in the rare Alaskan sun. She was on the porch of the house that Ronan's musher owned. Obviously, the team was out training since the crack of dawn. They would be returning soon, hopefully, for a noontime break. Maybe, if the musher was tired, the team would be done for the day.

Sonya panted heavily as she run, struggling too keep up as always. She was the smallest in the group and tired easly. But she was fast, so she made an excellent swing dog. She also had a good sense of direction and could easily get the team unlost if they ever needed it. But she also wasn;t one to keep her mouth shut. "How much farther, Ronan?" she half asked, half whined.

Baron, one of the wheel dogs, kept his panting to a minimum. His endurence levels were wonderful. He could run forvever. It was what he was breed for after all. He glanced up at Sky, feeling that overprotective brother feeling for her again. Of cource, Baron wasn't her actual brother, but he and her had become very close. And now that she was growing up into a very beautiful young husky, Baron hed been sort of unbearable about her hanging out with any of the sled team except Sonya.

Sky ran as fast as she could not panting at all,She was a good sled dog,but what she really wanted was to be running free,She was brought back to earth when the sled stopped suddenly.

"Ok Team" said Ronan "That was a good run but we need to be faster if we want to have a good chance in the iditarod this year" he called.Ronan was always striving for better and he wanted his team to as well.

Demon panted "You have got to be joking!" he said his paws ached and and his shoulder felt like they wer on fire, He looked at the sled team leader "We were on full pelt just then" he moaned.

Rookie looked up and down the dogs he spotted Sky and felt his heart leap,He had always had feelings for her but knew Ronan would have something to say if he made any move.

Titan giggled back and pounced on his sister,He howled happily and tugged at her ear playfully.

Rat trotted along,He wasn't the most impressive wolf but he was reasonably good looking,He saw Lily and trotted over "He lily" he greeted walking over to the beautiful female.

Shadow trotted up to his mate and geve her a small lick "How are you love?" he aked.

Lily glanced at Rat and gace a small smile. "Hey yourself," she said, rolling over into her stomach, standing up, and shaking out her fur before leaping down to the groud near Rat.

Luna smiled brightly at her mate. "Just as fine as always," she said happily, glad that Shadow as able to erase any thoughts of Ronan that Luna had. "What about you?"

Sunny laughed loudly as she was pushed to the ground. She pulled her ear from her brother's mouth and grabbed his front leg in her tiny jaw.

Scout lifted his head as he saw Lily talking to Rat. He sighed. He knew that even if he want over there, Rat would have chased him back up this tree in an instant. Not because he was compeition, but because he was Scout, the more cat than wolf dog.

Flower stood up shakily as she went to greet the team on their return. "Give 'em a rest, Ro," Flower said with a smile. "The kids have worked hard today. They'll all tired. They all deserve a break." She smiled kindly at the team. She looked at Sky breifly, still wondering who Sky's real mother was. Ronan had never told her.

"I agree with Flower!" Sonya yipped. "We can practice somemore later. But I;m too tired to pratice anymore right now." She was already slowly squeezing out of her harness.

Baron glared at Rookie as he saw the white and black dog eyeing up Sky. He kept his growl of warning to himself, though, not wanting to seem like her had a thing for Sky.

"You can't be tired yet!" said Sky not even panting slightly "That was like a warm up" she barked in disbelief at her team mates.

Ronan smiled and lay next to Flower "Thats my girl" he whispered before turning to his mate "How are you?" he asked.

Rat smiled "How are you today?" he asked smiling at Lily glad she was speaking to him.

Demon grinned When he saw Ronan glaring at Rookie "Who's a jealous doggy?" he whispered in the dogs ear.

Rookie trotted up to Sky "Umm,Hi Sky,I was wondering if you're doing anything later?" he asked hopefully.

Lily shrugged her shoulders. "Same as always, I guess," she said. "How about you?"

Scout sighed and laid his head on his paws, trying to balance himself on the tree branch enough to sleep without falling.

"Sick to my stomach as always," Flower said with a joking smile. "It won't be too long now," she said, referring to her unborn pups.

Baron didn't hold back his growl at Demon. "Jealous?" he scuffed. "I just don't won't dogs like that around my Sky."

Sonya slipped out of her harness and escaped to a far corner away from the rest of the group to lay down and relax her legs.

Sky smiled and flicked her tail under Rookies snout as a way of flirting "Whats it to you if I'm not?" she smiled.

Demon grinned "Rookie doesn't have a chance anyway" he smiled slyly "SHe's already got a boyfriend"

Rat smiled "Fine" he grinned "Are you,um, doing anything this evening?" he asked.

Roland smiled and nuzzled Flower "you'll make a great mum" he whispered.

Shadow smiled "I'm fine" he answered "And you?" he asked.

Lily hesitated answeing his question. "Um, no, I don't think so," she said warily.

Flower smiled as she nuzzled her mate. "I hope so. I had some pratice with Sky."

"What?!" Demon smiled. "No she doesn't. If she did she would have told me."

Luna shrugged. "Tired. The pups insist on staying up later and later."
