Anyone enjoy nintendo's Starfox games? They're some of my favorites, especially Starfox 64

I like most of them. Starfox 64 was very memorable. Lol, I remember fighting that pyramid thing where that dog guy backs you up. I remember Starfox Adventures too. People give that game a lot of flak, but I actually thoroughly enjoyed it. Starfox Assault was alright, though wasn't anything too great in my opinion.

but I liked the original on the SNES, My fave actually, and I own the one for the 64 its enjoyable, just not as much as the one for the SNES was! :3 Starfox is awesome!

Starfox for the Wii is only a rumor at the moment. It's not coming out anytime soon.

We all shouldn't be so sure. Nintendo has its strange ways of dealing with press information for games they are working on. Typically, they tend to stay very quiet about their games until the game is pretty much ready to go gold and hit retail. It's an idea they go by that drastically reduces the anticipation and waiting times on the consumer. So, I think when Nintendo does announce the game, it'll only be a few days to a few weeks before it's in our hands and our Wiis.

And right now is a very crazy time for the video game industry. E3 is just around the corner in June and there's a lot of crazy press going around.
I did recently read an article describing that last year was all about Wii Music and the casual gamer for Nintendo; this year is the year of the core gamer. It goes on to say that the timing couldn't be any more perfect with the latest Zelda being 3years ago and the latest Mario being 2. I also expands on the idea that Nintendo is going to expand on a series that hasn't gotten a lot of attention; listing Star Fox, Kid Icarus, and others as possible candidates announced at E3, if Nintendo were to do such a thing.

Still, much of everything fall in rumors. Just a matter of playing the waiting game.

Uh yeah Exactly why is said "So I've heard, Not 100% though" .. and I wouldn't be suprised if they did, its a pretty successful game on the other systems...

I've always loved Starfox, but haven't really had a chance to play any of the series's games until just recently. I've been playing Starfox 64 like crazy on my Wii through Virtual Console, and I picked up Starfox Adventures at Gamespot for only $5. Both are very fun though, despite the theme that Adventures is going for, it's still an amazingly fun game. Looks great too, ^_^.

I'm hoping to pick up Assault soon as well. I've been wanting to download the original Starfox and Starfox 2 on the VC, but they aren't there surprisingly (and frustratingly). What's with Nintendo and Starfox? It's a great series that they never seem to talk about other than Super Smash Brothers it seems, -_-. I'd love to have a Wii Starfox, but I have no idea when it would ever release, if it releases if that. My guesses that it'd pop up at E3 this year if they were really planning on making it. It'd been a few years now and all the big Nintendo series have gotten their game, except for Starfox it seems. At least a new Starfox for DS at least.

Who getting moody? I know I'm not.

Blur:

It's very interesting indeed. I guess since Star Fox 64 was pretty much considered a remake of the original game on SNES with features that would have been found in Star Fox 2 (All-range levels being one such feature) within Nintendo, they ought not to release them.
My guess is that they'll save Star Fox SNES as a tool for advertisement for Star Fox Wii, similar to what they did with Metroid Prime 3 where the released the original Metroid and Super Metroid on the VC within the month MP3 was to release to increase hype.

Star Fox 2 was never officially released, as everyone knows, being canceled when it was about 98% complete. So, seeing it on the VC is really low.

It's wishful thinking, but I think Nintendo has a big weapon for Star Fox Wii. Release Star Fox SNES on VC a week or so before Star Fox Wii. A week after Star Fox Wii, release Star Fox 2 for the first time ever. Those who bought Star Fox Wii would get a discount or something for Star Fox 2.

Just a promotional movement involving all three games, Star Fox, Star Fox 2, Star Fox Wii, could prove to be an effective weapon to drive sales, something the series needs.

You do know there is a Star Fox game for DS, right?

I should have done a little more homework, I didn't know that Starfox 2 wasn't actually ever released, ^^". I did know about the Starfox DS though, Starfox Command. I've been spending a little to much lately, so I haven't went out to go buy it yet, but I plan to in the future, =D.

Yes, that is wishful thinking, but it would be mind-blowing if it was actually pulled off, ^_^. Starfox from the SNES would be pretty big, but would serve more as a warm up to the big Starfox Wii. Then out of surprise, Starfox 2 shows up for the first time ever and really floors all the hardcore fans of the series, <3. I think that would be a VERY well executed move by Nintendo that would earn them quite a good chunk of money, and everyone knows how much the Big N loves their money, XD. However, once done, there isn't too much to keep people hooked in on it unless online play was included in the Starfox Wii. Though, it could gather up enough fans and hype to make a sequel to the Starfox Wii, but I'm starting to think wishfully now, XP.

I am pretty sure that Nintendo will at least say something about a Starfox Wii game this E3. It could be as little as a mention or some simple verbal news or something as big as a teaser trailer; I just think something will be mentioned about the series this year. Nintendo didn't do so hot last year, so my guess is that they would try extra hard to steal the show this year at E3. How many days are we away from that now? Just a few weeks or something right?

E3 2009 is set for June 2-4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and open to the public.

Star Fox Command does have online play, and Nintendo doesn't typically go backwards, so I expect to see an online, hopefully improved, mode.

I know this is cheating, but i couldn't wait for star fox on the snes to be released on the VC i had to get it right away so i downloaded it to my computer, plus i have a program that made it so i can use my x box controller on my computer. It feels worse now that the VC is out to download games. Before it was like well i can't find it in stores anywhere and if i buy it off like ebay nintendo will not benifit from it, what else can i do. So if a game is released on VC i will buy it rather then download.

enough 'bout that, Star fox 64 is amazing. It's got replay ability, so many paths you can take and if two ways lead to the same planet, one way you probly get a partner or a hole different level. you can unlock so much stuff Hidden text : click to show
and it's acually difficult to get all the medals. I feel like a reviewer. Also, this jawdropper.gif makes me laugh.

I agree, I enjoyed starfox adventures a lot and I don't think it should've been labeled as a bad game just because the game play was different from previous starfox games.
