What is your opinion on this movie and who is your favorite charater? Please give explainations of why.

My favorite character would have to be Basil. It's his personality that amazes me really.

Wooo, Basil!

An animated treasure, in my opinion. Beautiful, classic animation. The story is beautiful too! The Sherlock Holmes like plot is interesting. I love the setting, and how the animators worked on the backgrounds. They really captured London well.

Great movie!

Yep, Basil had to be my favorite too. The Disney crew did a good job making him a distinctive character. So like Holmes, yet so utterly himself and nobody else (including Holmes). You know what I mean?

I remember the first time I watched this movie (which was so long ago and i was quite young) it actually scared me, the evil character (can't remember his name) really scared me as a child. I revisited the movie about a year ago and I really enjoyed it, great animation, great story and great voice actors, classic disney movie.

This is probably my childhood favorite, along with The lion king...
This one truly deserved more success; it just wasn't released at the right time. (although it helped Disney to come out of that "dark period"...)
