Maximum Ride... The movie!?

Ohmygosh. They went there. In 2010, Maximum Ride the movie will be made.
Not looking forward to it. ): There they go ruining another book... anyways, hopefully it won't be as bad as I think it will.

Not all movies based off books ruined the books. I mean, look at Lord of the Rings!

I have read the books, and although the unnervingly defiant attitude of the protagonist towards the human race (which I can't really blame her for, but it still irks me at times), at the very least it could become something spectacular, even if it's just the flight/fight sequences.

I think it's either Warner Bros. or Paramount Pictures who is doing the movie... but I think New Line Cinema would've been better.

*EDIT*: It will be distributed by Paramount Pictures, and produced by Avi Arad, the guy who produced most of the Marvel comics movies (such as Spider Man, X-Men, Blade, Daredevil, and Iron Man) will be the primary producer! In fact, the first two movies have already been planned out!

Yeah, but then there's Despereaux, which was decent if you're under age ten. But for me I think it was kinda corny. It was the best once a book then made into a movie I've ever seen. Hopefully Maximum Ride will be better.

I have known about this for sometime. It will be directed by Catherine Hardwick who as you know did Twilight. It will be motion captured meaning it will be like the movies Beowulf or The Polar Express.It is being produced by Avi Arad who worked on the X-Men films.

Apparently it is possible to make a person 98% human and 2% bird, and all that will happen is that they grow wings, no horrible side effects or death from scientists messing around with your genes like that

I can't wait for the movie to come out. Maximum Ride is a very good book series so hopefully it will be done right and not turn into a disaster like the movie Eragon.

This has disaster written all over it. I'm not trying to be a pessimist, but I can't see this book being successfully made into a movie.

I groaned when I heard that too. It may be horrible, but I'm going to try to be optomistic, and say it might not be as bad as Twilight.

I don't think I even convinced myself. -sigh-

But the books were amazing, and I can't wait for the movie, although it may make me feel nauseous. I love the plotline, and the thought of having wings is a totally cool one.

Lol, you guys do realise Meyer was always asking for things to be changed and all that, right? Perhaps now Catherine will be able to prove herself a bit without having too much of a naggy one on her back :lol:

I saw a trailer for Maximum Ride the Movie... it looked REALLY fake, I mean like the wings almost looked like they were DRAWN. I'm not getting my hopes up for it.

I don't know how long this news has been out, but I heard, (may not be, but probably is, true) that the movie was delayed big-time. Apparentky, Catherine Hardwick decided the movie didn't have enough action. THey now are re-writing the whole script.
