Bang! Bang! Bang! "Yelp!" "Keep running, kids!" A mother cyote watched as her beloved mate fell to the ground, dead. Shot by the awful hunter and his dogs, who had come to hunt. She was snipping at her pups' heels, urging them to get to the den in time. She took the tinpipe, a long, straight tunnel that ran through a cliff and had a dropoff at another cliff, that lay on a steep edge just above the river. One of the young cyote pups made it to the den. Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! The little cyote pup waited, waited, waited. He and his sister were safe, along with an abandoned wolf pup their mother had rescued the day they were born. What about the rest? The pups looked out in horror. After coming to the surface of the 10 ft underground den, they saw their sibilings dead. Shot, perhaps.
"Maybe Mom is still alive!" Icestorm, the wolf, cried. The pups ran to see their mom jump into the tinpipe. She shot out after about 5 minutes and dug her paws into the cliff. She looked like Zira, when she want tumbel8ing down the cliff with Kiara, only, Mother hadden't dangled. She missed the clearing, just shooting out and flying over the side. She was going to fly over and into the deep river off of the 20 ft cliff! But, a gunshot rang out, and a tree limb fell, striking and pinning the mother cyote to it and plunging into the river. Mother floated downstrem and into the male cyote's paws. The male, female, and wolf all gathered around to say goodbye. That was only the beginning. Now the dog team and the cyotes are all grown up and are against each other. A new dog comes to this farm, and it thinks hunting is bad. It finds out that huning means killing a cyote and meets the team of wild dogs. Now what? Will this dog turn them in, even after the team saves it's life by dragging the dog out of the river? Now what?

PS, "Cyote" is Aztec for barking dog. I know "Coyote" is spelled with an O, but ky-oat is how the ancients pronounced it. I thought it sounded cool.
