Sweetness! Can I join as the guy who saves her?

Personality: loyal, brave, street-smart, kinda smart allecy, doesn't always talk about emmotions unless he really trusts someone, if he has to he'll run from emotions for months at a time maybe even years, kind of reckless at times
History: Max grew up with his often drunk father and a mother that never did anything. the one time she stood upf or him, his father killed her in a fit of rage and Max has never been able to live down the shame. He ran away from home that night and lived alone until the police picked him up and took him home again. However, his father had died from a stroke earlier that day so he was sent to an orphanage. The moment he turned of age, he left teh home and never looked back. Now, he's a gambler and goes to a bar that doesn't ask for ID. His top concerns are a: money and b: drinks. That makes him sound bad but he really isn't that bad deep down, he jsut needs a REASON to quit.

Roleplay example(minimum four sentences): "Okay, Bill, give me the usual," Max said as he walekd to the counter and leaned against it. His eyes strayed to the betting tables and he barely kept himself were he was, telling himself that he could go play as much as he wanted after he got a quick drink. Once he was done, he immediatly started for the betting tables. But complications seemed ot be bright in his future. "You," growled a voice. He turne dhis head to see a man he'd gotten in a small fight over money with and tried to keep walking like he hadn't noticed him. But the man grabbed his shirt collar and pulled him back towards him again. "Let go!" Max growled, trying to get loose but hte man meerly laughed at his efforts. Max joined in nervously, hoping to distract him. This guy didn't seem that bright. But the smile and any traces of a laugh disapeared and his fist hurled into Max's stomach, driving the breath out of him.

Other: ever since he told Shay he loved her, he's been trying to quit thinking about her that way and thinks he's been successful but he hasn't and probably never will be

rp examp: Rasp fell to the ground bloody, he was out of breath from fighting that darn Jim Kenton. He may have won for now but he knew Jim would be back for the kid, he would have gain back his strength if he was gonna protect him. "Brad, you go get Max, I'll be fine here for a minute". Brad ran off to find Max. Ras still lay there, he could feel the cold cement under him, it would be a long minute that Brad was gone, he realy wished he could protect him better.
