I know it's annoying, but getting angry at them isn't the best way to react. Most websites don't have as many rules as BS and the communities are much larger ( Example: Youtube) so rules like 'No SMS' are new to them, some don't even know what spam is, and some are so unused to the rules that they don't think to check in the first place.

Someone has said you should report. I don't think you should do that immediately. Explain to them which rule they've broken and preferably provide them with a link to the rules. Give them a chance to get used to them and tolerate it for a few days if the problem is SMS, spam or another matter-of-habit. If they then show that they're just being lazy and disrespecting the rules, then you should report them.

Also, though I agree it's annoying to use so many smileys, the limit is three per post and I rarely see anyone go over that limit. (Or do it again once they're reminded of the rules) so I don't believe it's necessary to report them.

And no offense to the previous poster, but there are sadder things in the world than someone posting words on a screen.

Yay, K! Couldn't have said it better myself.

Yes, while it can be annoying and I agree with you, the best think is to polite explain it (as Keilidh said) and give them a link to the rules. Because a rant topic won't do the world of difference.

Not necessarily. Like I said in my reply, some just haven't read the rules yet. Take the time to explain them to them and give thema chance to get used to them.

Also, we were all 'noobs' at some point...

This topic is an irony magnet.
Here's another example. "...or Exclamation points!"
