In the world of illegal dogfights, conditions are only growing worse and more violent. But one person has a new secret weapon: werewolves. Forget the wolf hybrids and a wolf plucked from the wild. These wolves have all the sense and thinking skills of a person, not to mention a deadly thirst for blood. And as long as you keep them constantly locked up in a silver cage, day and night, human or wolf, they seem pretty tame. Or at least unable to fight back. What could go wrong?

An escape, perhaps? Success or failure, this small pack of wolves will at least try to work through their differences and aggression to find a place out side of the fighting rings and cages.

Bic:// Garret trotted out into the caged dirt circled to face his opponent. His name was sounded over though an intercom. There were many other fights going on at the same time, though all in different rings that were throughout the whole arena sized room. A large, female shepherd mix entered into his ring. She didn't look like much, but she was growling already. Aggressive, then. Garret waited for the gun shot before charging at the poor helpless dog.

Cassie ran another circled around the ring. She and the massive Akita had been at it for almost a half hour now. It would only be a few minutes before a draw was called and Cassie would be free. Of this dog atleast. She glanced at Zac as she passed him, and it was clear in his eyes that he was not going to be happy if this ended in anything less than a win. She sighed as she turned quickly to use her claws to knock the Akita into the wall.

Luna smiled as she licked the blood dripping from her black muzzle. She back away from the dog's body as a group of people took the body away. Lune glanced at the small crowd of people as they all cheered for her, undefeated again. Which was a good thing, because one defeat meant death by either the dog or Zac. She trotted out of the ring and back to her small holding kennel until her turn came up again. She looked at the other kennels to see if anyone else from Zac's team was in.

Troy lowered himself to the ground, lashing his tail as he snarled at the bulky husky opposite him. Both were waiting for the other to move first. "Might as well attack," he snarled. "Make yourself look like a hero before you lose." His competitive side always took palce in a side, which was a godo thing. If it didn't, the compassion he did have would never let him fight this poor dog. He readied himself as hte husky leaped on him with a loud howl of fury. He kicked it over easily and pinned it. The dog kicked hellessly at his stomach, trying tog et him off. Pity welled in Troy but he kept on the dog, hoping to tire him out so he wouldn't have to harm the dog too much for it to surrender.

Angie gazed at the opposing dog, a poodle/wolf mix. It looked rediculous but she knew better than to udnerestimate it. Especially since she didn't enjoy using her strength against other dogs. For that, she was usually beaten since she took so long to defeat an enemy. She snarled and snapped her jaws as the mix leaped at her. Angie slid to teh side and clawed at its side, ahrder than she meant to. zac smirked. Well, at least she wouldn't ahve a bad beating tonight....

Sarah circled her enemy, a large labrador and elt out a snarl, snapping her jaws. If she could intimidate it before the fight started, it wouldn't be too difficult. It was a trick, she'd learned from Troy, except he tried to tire them intead of scaring them. She lowered her body to teh ground and growled lowly. the dog threw himself at her with a snarl, his teeth snagging on her neck fur, pulling her towards him. Sarah straightened herself quickly. Loosing was not an option. She snarled again and hte dog glared at her then tried to sweep ehr paws out from under her. However, she leapt out of hte way and abrked warningly. the lab meerly leaped at her again. Trying not ot loose her temper, the werewolf knocked it off her with ease and howled furiously. the lab attacked again, grabbing hte fur on her side and ripping it out. That's it. Enough's enough! she thought as she snarled, "Come 'ere, pipsqueak!" She knocked it off its paws and muttered, "Now I want you to think real hard about what you're going to do next in this ring. you do not want to make me any angrier than I am now."

Garret didn't waste any time with his opponents. He knocked the dog to the ground and snapped her neck with one bit from his massive jaws. He saw this as some sort of justice, killing a killer and getting the dog out of this place one way or another. If dog's have soul's, her's would be in a better place. Heck, hell was pribably better than here.

Cassie stared at the Akita's body for any sign of movement, which ther was none of. She trotted over and smelt him. He was still alive, though he would be out cold for a good long while. "Hope you have a nice sleep," Cassie muttered to the dog as she trotted to Zac. He opened the gate of the ring and tied a rope around her neck a little too tightly. He dragged her back to the holding kennels ad tossed her in the one next to Luna. Cassie gasped for breath as soon as the rope and Zac were gone.

Luna laid down, with no one with her, when suddenly Cassie was dragged in. "Hey, princess," Luna said as means of a greeting. She always taunted the other werewolves about their unwillingness too kill, Cassie and Angie especailly.

Troy growled as the dog strungled harder to shove him off. Then it bit his muzzle and scratched his chest at the same time. Troy reared on his hind paws with a snarl and then landed back on all fours as the dog inched away. He crept towards it, lashing his tail as he went. the dog leapt on his back and clawed at his shouders. Angered, Troy reared again and slammed hte dog into teh wall, once, twice, three times. It whimpered and fell to teh ground. Troy leaned over the husky and growled. It whimpered, its fur matted with blood. Sympathy filled him but he shook it off. the dog wouldn't survive. It wouldn't be fit to fight and hte owner would beat it to death. With a grunt, he leaned down and bit its neck. It was a quick death and it ould save the dog humiliation. But he couldn't stop the guilt filling him as Zac lead him in with teh other two. He panted as he laid down, looking at Cassie. "How'd it go?" he rumbled.

Angie watched hte lab yelp and pull away from her claws. It looked at her and leapt again but she reared up and slahsed its chest. hte dog yipped and fell onto its back, unconsious. She trotted into teh room, avoiding Luna's gaze as she sat beside Cassie. Her tail was low to teh ground. She hated this place a lot, wiht every fiber of her being. And sh ehated hte way Luna scolded them.

Sarah towered over the lab, her eyes ahrd. "Surrender now or die," she growled. She meant it. This dog had taken the ember of anger burning in her heart nad made it into a forest fire. the lab leaned up liek it would sirrender or reply but bit her muzzle with a snarl. She pulled back sharply and then placed a paw on teh dog's shoudler. "Fine, then." She clawed its side and the dog yipped. It would slowly bleed to death. But the sweet werewolf inside her wouldn't let that happen. Some of her compassion leaked through and she gazed down at teh dog guiltily, remembering when she'd first started. Not only that but Sarah was 15. 15 and alone, apart from her friends here.. she sighed and loed down at teh dog. "Let me release you from the pain and suffering." She bit its neck and she could ahve sworn that the dog had a ghost of a smile on its face as it slipped away. She stepped back and trotted to the others immediatly, not wanting to see the blood anymore, feeling sick to her stomach at what she'd just been forced to do.

Garret sighed as he was brought back to the kennel's by Zac. He went to his kennel like a good, obidient dog, and sat on the cold cement. "Thank the gods we're almost outta this place for the day," he said.

Cassie looked at Troy and shrugged. "Same as it always is. Gruesome, Cruel. Not wanting to be here and do this." She sighed. "I just want out of here."

"Well you can want all you want," Luna spat at her. "But it ain't gonna get us all outta here, now is it?"

Angie lashed her tail. "Back off, Luna! There's always hope! We might be able topull thigns together!" It was doubtful and it would never happen but hope was key thing. "Hope is not a weakness. It is never a weakness. Never!"

Troy looked at Angie, impressed with ehr for speaking her mind. He hardly ever heard the quiet werewolf speak about her opinions, especially like that. He flicked an ear. "You're right. We can hope. But..." He cast Luna a glance that told her that he had as much doubt as she did, although he did have hope for their future. But so far hope ahd done nothing for ihm in this life.

Sarah sighed and lay down. She was tired of the same old argument again and again, taking palce over and over, time after time. She closed her eyes and wished she could be the pup she used to be. But she was still young. 15. But she was a warrior too. And she couldn't escape that.

Ooc:// Is it okay is Troy eventually gets a crush on Luna?

Bic:// "There's gotta be away out of here," Garret said, thinking hard about an escape plan.

Luna groaned. "Give up on hope. It hasn't done any of us any good. Hope always gets crushed, so just stop hoping at all."

"But I can't help but hope," Cassie muttered, not wanting to get into the fight but unable to hold her tongue.

Troy sat up, his eyes slightly adventurous. "But, Luna," he said, "I'm sure we can find a way! dogs ahve escaped ebfore and we're more powerful than dogs! Much more pwoerful!" He gently shouldered Cassie, trying to lift her spirits. "Come on, don't worry. We'll find an escape route." He glanced at Luna, wishing he could find a way to lifther spirits as well.

Sarah tilted her head up and groaned. "I know there has to be a way! But I can't think of it! But, surely, Troy's right. We are smarter than dogs and more capable too! C'mon, Luna, hlep us think!"

Angie sat beside cassie, her closest allie in this place since they both had around the same attitude when it came to fights. "Aren't you tired of being expected ot kill to survive?" she asked Luna.

"No, actually," Luna said. "I'm perfectly happy with the way my life is at the momment, and I;m not willing to screw everything up."

"Then you can just stay here with you're perfectly happy life, and we'll all just leave you alone," Cassie snapped.

Garret had his eyes shut tightly, a plan forming in his mind. "If only one of us could get out without a rope around our necks or a gun pointed at our heads. Then that person could undo the rest of the locks, and we'd be free to run as we please." Garret sighed. "But how is one of us supposed to get out?"

Troy hesitated. "I'm not sure... But once we're out, we could become human and get out that way. Zac doesn't pay us any attention when we're in our other shape. In fact, I doubt he's seen us in that shape in a long time, if ever."

Sarah flikced an ear, turning away from Luna. "That doesn't solve the problem of getting otu int eh first place.

Angie rolled her eyes. "Yeah. You can stay here and get beat when you lose. We all know you will one of thesee days, everyone does."

"What about tomorrow morning," Garret said. "When one of us is done with our fighting. We can easily jump out of those fences. It'll probably cause choas, but I don't think there's a plan that won't. We'll just have to make sure that Zac is busy watching someone else so he doesn't get a chance to shoot. He's the only one with silver bullets."

"And how do we decide who's gonna try and jump the fence?" Cassie asked.

"Whoever gets the first chance," Garret said. "And all that person as to do is come back here, break the locks, and find the others if they aren't there. Then we make a run for the woods, phase, and keep running until we reach civilization."

Luna gave a fake bark of laughter. "Have you ever heard of a werewolf, or even a wolf, getting beat by a mere dog?"

Troy beamed. "Brilliant!" His heart was pounding too heavily to care that Garret had just come up with a great idea and he'd missed his chance to come up with a good idea. "Let's do it. If we're lucky, one of the smaller ones will get first chance.

Sarah nodded. "Tomorrow then, we'll get out of here." Her heart was pounding. This was it.

"I think it'll be easy for me to slip away. Zac usually avoids watching me since I don't like taking life." Angie flicked an ear, ignoring Luna once more. A "mere dog" might not be able ot defeat her. But one of htese days, werewolves would be discovered by other fighting masters. The time would come.

Troy glanced at her, somewhat quizzical. "I'm not trying to sound rude but... are you strong enough to break the locks yourself?" He'd never seen her use her full strength, but he had seen her fight once. She hadn't been that good, just good enough to get away ithout being beaten when it was over. "I mean, your a werewolf but Zac has pretty strong locks."

Angie flicked her tail. "Yes, I can do it." She grinned. "I'm stronger than everyone thinks."
