ok how many here like the band?

They are a total musical abomination.

If you're coming here to cause trouble then leave this is obviously a thread for fans.


I love Nickelback they have so many songs that I love. I especially like,
- Savin Me
- Far Away
- Gotta Be Somebody
- Photograph
- Hero....
My list could go on but I'll stop

On the contrary. It was never made one hundred percent clear that this was a fan thread, so that gives me the right to say whatever I want about Nickelback's generic, boring, soulless, made only for money, radio friendly corporate pseudo-rock. You are free to defend your stance by trying to convince me otherwise although that would be almost impossible considering everything about Nickelback is virtually indefensible to anyone who has been exposed to music with even a moderate amount of depth.

Once you get a greater understanding of how music can be used as an expressive outlet or showcase for talent, you'll literally be sickened by how shallow and empty Nickelback's "music" is.

For once, I'm gonna agree with him.....The band has absolutely no talent

I have never heard a more superficial, shallow song in my life. It's disgusting how these hacks got a record deal.

I think what is more disgusting is how some kids at my school practically worship them.

I think Porcupine Tree made a song describing this band.

That pretty much sums up Nickelback to a tee.

Great music is in the ear of the beholder and anyone WITH ears can tell Nickelback sucks.

But seriously, compare the lyrics of that Porcupine Tree song to "Rockstar". There is NO competition. The reason for this is that Porcupine Tree write music for art and expression while Nickelback makes music for money and nothing more.
