After purchasing The legend of Spyro dawn of the dragon the day it shipped into my local Bestbuy,( I was counting down the days till it's release.) I quickly grabbed it up. Everything else was great, but the graphics for the PS2 Version were awfull. LightingThere is waaay to much contrast and everything seems rather dark. Like is there something Activision doesn't want us to see? Also, if you observant like me, why in the world is Spyro glowing? "Take a gander at this." NOTE: I'm sorry, but I have a "fancy" Dazzle, emulator, etc to record or take screen shots of my gameplay. If you take a look around the edges of Spyro, you can see a red/orange glow around him. Though My digital camera did a good job picking that up. ColorAgain, there is waay to much color... I mean, why so much color? Is there a mistake Activion is covering up with the color? Might as well add this too. The life/energy crystals are one solid color. No detail. GrassThe grass? is it? what is it? How can they call that crap they put in the game even be considered grass??? The other versions have realistic looking grass, why not on the PS2. Did they like make this grass in their sleep? Boss life barWhat in the world happend there? Like its completely unfinished! The bar itself is naked, there is NO detal around it. I had to adjust my TV color just to make these graphics look somewhat better, but you shouldn't have to do that... It should look like this in the first place...

Well you can only expect so much out of a PS2, it's an aging system.
I think this game is on the 360, I might pick it up.

FreeFall the dragon wrote: Hmm, I have it on nintendo wii, and it`s absolutely great, it`s like they made the ps2 version without looking at it, or maybe they were just too tired and lazy and slack to make it properly, and as you suggested, maybe they did it in their sleep lol The nintendo wii is probably better with graphics as it's much newer than a PS2.

FreeFall the dragon wrote: Oh really? I thought nintendo wii was, but, I reckon 360 would be better, because it`s hard to position the wii remote at the right spot, and then keep your arm there and keep it real still, trust me, it hurts after a while, especially when I`m playing war games or Transformers. It`s hard to keep teh decepticons away from Sam -_- Yes the wii is only "Ok" In my opinion, I have one, and I don't play it or my PS3 as much as I do my 360.. :3 and I wouldn't dare attempt any spyro game on the Wii, ugh, I tried Okami on it , and got frustrated.. so I can imagine it would be painful to do a flying game XD

Actually, the spyro games for the wii are quite easy, you don`t have to position the remote for them...It`s just gun games and stuff like that I find harder..and painfuller... (XD yet another word I made up).
Anyways, Tlos: The Eternal Night, is pretty much the easiest spyro game on wii, DotD is harder because the the bosses are harder, as are the normal enemies, and it doesn`t tell you how much life the normal enemies have left, it only tells you with certain bosses and elite enemies. The Eternal Night however, is quite simple, I know all the controls off by heart and in The Eternal Night, you can access Dark Spyro..Also you can have five elemental furries, not just convexity. Fire fury, Earth fury, Ice fury, Electric fury and Convexity fury are the furries in The Eternal Night, but in Dawn of the Dragon, you only get Convexity fury.
