I have been working on some fanfics recently, and I thought I'd just post a snippet or two for a few of 'em. (yeah, some are shorter then others. just means those have been worked on more)

All Characters copyrighted to respectful owners

First one:
Loves Forbiden Bond:

Jason's never really cared for the title as the towns ladies man. But when a new female comes to town, Jason finds himself falling head over heels for her. One problem. Her father and brother don't want Jason anywhere near her! Can the two lovers solve this problem, or will they be forced to hide?

"Keep up slowpokes!" The brown male laughed as he landed on the red rooftop, only to jump to the next one. Two dogs ran below him. "We'll keep up if you'll get down!" one shouted, brown eyes flashing mischeviously. "Yeah! Come on down Jason! We'll see whos faster!" the silver male beside him yelled. Jason laughed. "Not a chance! I'll still beat you!" The brown male lept to the next rooftop, looking down as his friends ran below, trying to keep up.

Jason loved feeling as if he could fly. The wind in his face, the sight of dogs and humans below him, the-- The brown male froze just as he was prepairing to jump to the next roof. A flash of gold below had caught his eye. Looking down, he saw a golden dog walking along the street. Jason could tell it was female. The sun caught on the dogs fur and her gold coat seemed to light up. "Whoa." Jason put a paw foreward, forgetting where he was.

The brown male yelped as he fell through the air. He landed with a crash in a dumpster. Shaking himself, Jason scrambled out and landed with a thud behind a crate. "Nice. Real nice." he mutterd. "Who's there?" Jason's ears flickerd as a soft voice called out. "I know your there. I heard you."

Brushing a wraper from his shoulder, Jason stepped out from behind the crate. The gold female was standing there, starring at him curiously. "Who are you?" she asked. Jason's ears flattened sheepishly. "I'm-?" his words were cut off by a growl, then a sudden amount of weight slammed into his back. Jason thrashed around, trying to get out from under the weight, but it was too much. "Dad!" Jason looked up and saw the gold female's fur raised and her blue eyes flashing angerly. "Get off him!" she growled. Jason squirmed, but a large paw held him down. "Get out of here, and never come near my daughter again." a voice snarled.

The weight was lifted and Jason lept to his feet. A large pale orange male was glaring at him, fangs bared. Prefering to not to be ripped to shreads, Jason turned and sprinted down the street. "Yo! Where you going?" Dan spun around and ran after him, Raphael behind him. Jason didn't anserw, he just turned around the corner and skidded to a hault. Catching his breathe, Dan and Raphael caught up with him.

"What in the world was that about?" Dan demanded. "One minute we'er trying to get you off the roofs, then you come streaking past us like theres a bear chasing you!" Jason looked up at his friends. "I, saw, a dog." he panted. "Fell, off the roof." Raphael chuckled. "Let me guess, a girl right?" he asked. Jason shot him a look. "Yeah, but, her dad, pinned, me down." he said, catching his breathe. Dan tilted his head to the side. "A protective dad, huh?" he commented. "Well, who was it? You know every girl in town." Raphael asked. Jason opened his mouth to say, but found he haden't recinaized the gold female. "I, don't know." he said. "I've never seen her before."

Nalani Book 2 Volcanic Stallion:

When Nalani finds a hidden journal entry about Black Lava, her mustang mares sire, she becomes determind to find out what happened to him. Will she discover a happy ending, or a tale full of dread? And what is this rumor flying around the island of a ghost stallion?

Nalani's ears swivled at the sound of shouting.

"Get off of me you piece of poultry!"

A sound that sounded like someone stepped on a goose came after it. Nalani cast a glance at Dallas. He was talking with some dog, so she went to investigate.

Pokeing her head around the corner, she saw nothing. Then, in a exsplosion of feathers and small birds, a dog burst out of a small hut, bucking like a wild horse. One of the small birds clung to it's back. Squawking and scattering in all directions, the small birds darted away from the bucking dog.

With a final effert, the dog bucked the bird off into a bush. Giving a short squawk of protest, then ruffling it's feathers, the bird ran after it's fowl friends.

Nalani giggled. The dog turned to face her. With feathers stuck in it's messed up fur, Nalani burst out laughing. "Sorry to spoil your fun, but who are you and what are you doing here?" The dog demanded as it walked over. Nalani stopped laughing. "I'm Nalani, and I'm here with Dallas from Celtic Shire." A smile formed on the dogs face. "Ah, so your Dallas's new recrute. Sorry about that, I'm Carla." Nalani returned the smile. "Nice to meet you."

Now that she had a better look at Carla, Nalani thought she looked older, and not just because she was taller. She looked more mature then Nalani did. Despite the feathers in her fur. Nalani couldn't help giggling again. This time Carla joined her. "I look ridiculous don't I?" she asked.
Nalani nodded. "What where those things anyway? Miniature geese?" she asked. Carla shook her head. "Nope. Chickens. Their kinda like geese, except smaller, can't fly, and they lay eggs that we harvest."

Nalani guessed she looked confused, because Carla then asked her. "What, they don't have chickens in Alaska?" Nalani shook her head. "If there are any, I've never seen 'em." Carla shook her fur, causing feathers to fly out in all directions. Nalani found herself starring at one that landed on her nose. Carla smiled. "Sorry." Nalani smiled back. "It's okay." she said as she shook the feather off.

"Nalani!"

Nalani wheeled around, and saw Dallas walking toward them with the dog he had been talking to earlier. The dog was bigger then Dallas and had a tan coat with darker tan specks on it. The dog's blue eyes sparkled with mischief. The dog took one look at them, and smiled. "Ol' Stinger giving ya trouble again, Carla?" he asked, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

Carla grinned sheepishly. "He, he, yeah."

Kayla: The Past Is The Past:

Kayla is still recovering from the death of Aururoa. So when a orphaned wolf pup shows up, Kayla has no idea what to do. The pup doesn't listen to her, it insults her, and uses her blindness agsint her. Just when things can't seem to get any worse, Kayla meets Kian. Kian offers to help with the pup. As she gets to know Kian, Kayla's heart starts to heal. But then she discovers something that breaks it all over again.

Kian stood were Kayla had ran past him, frozen. Her words had stabbed at his heart, and his guilt knew no bounds now. What had he done? "Dad?" Kian starred at the small grey pup that was standing on the steps. Her eyes were troubled. "Where'd Mom go?" she asked. Kian starred blankly at her. "Dad?" Kona asked quietly. She'd never seen him act like this, and it scarred her, esspecialy after all the noise she'd heard. Kian turned to her at last, his eyes filled with such grief that Kona was imeditly alarmed.

Kayla stopped and sniffed the air. She had lost track of how far or long she had run. But the wind was growing colder, and she knew a storm was comming. She needed shelter. "Auroa, please help me." she asked silently. A sudden sound made her ears prick. It was faint, but it sounded like running water. For a fleeting second, Kayla stood rooted in place, then she ran toward the sound. She knew it was a long shot, but could it be-? Kayla skidded to a hault. The wind's sound had changed. It echoed now. Kayla cautiously walked foreward until her paws touched rock, not snow. She felt a tingle of excitment and felt along until she found the wall. Something was sticking out of it. Something smooth and cool. Kayla gasped. She knew where she was now....

"Auroa what am I looking for?" The young white female asked. The black female next to her laughed. "Your not looking for anything. Your listening." Auroa closed her eyes as her ears twitched. Kayla looked quizzingly at her before doing the same. A moment later her tail was wagging excidetly. "I can hear it! water!" Auroa laughed and nodded. "Come on." she flicked her tail and the two were dashing through the snow. Kayla froze. A beautiful water fall was streaming into a silvery pool. "Auroa, is this it?" she asked slowly. She was suprised when the black female shook her head. "Nope. It's over here." Slowly, Kayla followed her as she disapeered behind a small clump of trees. "Come on!" Auroa's voice called from the other side. Kayla rounded the trees, but all she saw was a cave. "Auroa?" she called. "In here." Kayla gulped as she realized Auroa was in the cave. "Come on in Kayla. It's fine!" The white female cautiuosly walked into the cave.

"Auroa?" she called again, looking around for her friend. Suddenly the cave was alight with tiny stars. Kayla gasped as Auroa stepped out from behind a rock. "Isn't it beautiful?" she asked quietly. Kayla nodded in awe. The caves walls were dappled with tiny crystals, each glowing softly in the dark. Kayla trotted up to one and cautiously placed her paw on it. The crystal was smooth and as cool as ice. The white female turned to Auroa, her eyes dancing. "Auroa, it's beautiful." she whisperd. The black female nodded, her eyes sparkiling in the soft glow of the crystals. "And only we know about it." she said softly.

Kayla ran her paw over the crystal, her eyes misting over. "Oh Auroa, why'd you leave me?" she whisperd. But only the sound of the wind anserwd her.

Lost Gem:
Crysa's been raised by her Aunt with her brother and sister their whole lives, and Crysa's sick of it. She wants to know who her parents are, where they are, and why they didn't raise their own pups themselves. So along with her friends, Crysa begins a search for her family. But will she be happy with the anserw she gets?

"Margret you can't do this!"

"Of course I can Miliko. You obviously cannot raise them yourself. This is whats best for them."

"No it's not! You can't--!"

"I'll hear no more Miliko! I'm taking them to live with me."

"Margret, please! Don't--!"

"Enough Miliko! Now, come along pups."

"No Margret, please! Toner, Junie, Crysa! Crysa!"

"CRYSA!"

The white female jerked upright imeditly. "What! Whats happinging? Whos on fire?" she sputterd. A familur laugh rang behind her.

"No one sleepyhead!" The brown female giggled. "You overslept again. Aunt Margret's lesson starts soon!"

"Oh is that all?" Crysa asked with a yawn. "Wake me in a half hour then." she said as she sank back into the blankets on the bed. "Oh no you don't! Your getting up now!" The brown female pushed her head agsint her sisters back. Crysa, who had been sleeping on the edge of the bed, fell to the floor with a yelp.

"Junie!" she almost shouted at her sister, who was laughing helplessly at the bewelderd look on Crysa's face.

"Sorry Crys, but you know how much Aunt Margret hat.es it when someones early or late." Junie giggled.

Crysa rolled her eyes as she got up. "Yeah I know, why do you think I'm always late?" she asked, a michevous glint in her eye that Junie knew to well.

She groaned."Aw come on Crys. Nothing today please! Aunt Margrets just about fed up with you and your 'shanagings'."

Crysa just grinned. "I know. And I'm just about fed up with her rules." She wrinkled her nose and spoke in a high mocking voice. "Never be late or early for anything, the only way to show up is to be on the dot of time. Never associate with mongrels, their nothing more then streetbred scoundrels. Never get dirty, always keep your coat spotless." Crysa sighed. "Never do this, never do that, always act like this, blah, blah, blah! Shes driving me nuts Junie! Esspecialy her rules about 'mongrels'. In case she hadn't noticed, we'er not exzactly purebreds."

Junie smiled a little. "She knows that, but she wants everyone to think we'er purebreds."

Crysa snorted. "Even so, all my friends are mixed breeds, and their perfectly harmless!"

Junie's eyes sparkled. " What about Mitch?" she teased.

Crysa rolled her eyes in disgust. "I don't care what Aunt Marget thinks of him, or what he thinks of me, I'll Never fall in love with him! He's such a glory-hound. "

Junie laughed. "Better not let Aunt Margret know that. She pretty much has her heart set on getting you two together. Mitch probley does to."

Crysa growled. "Yeah, well, they both better keep dreaming. Cause it ain't gonna happen."

Junie laughed. "Hey you two!" Both sisters turned to the door and saw a red male standing there. "Hey Toner, where've you been?" Crysa asked. She thought she saw him blush, but she couldn't be sure. "Out." He said simply. "Now why aren't you guys downstairs yet? Aunt Margret's lesson starts in 2 minutes." Junie yelped and jumped over Crysa, which only succeded with her crashing into Toner. Crysa laughed as her brother fell backwards from being tackled.

"Come on guys, we'er gonna be early!" Crysa called as she lept over both of them. "What! Crysa!" Toner called after her. Crysa paid no heed. If her siblings were going to be on time, then she'd simply be early. She slowed as she enterd the small sunlight room that was the study for Mr. and Mrs. Denstrum. It was never used in the morning, so Aunt Margret had their lessons here. In the afternoon they would be outside.

Crysa settled herself on the recliner by the window. The sun was streaming through and felt warm and pleasent on her white fur. She starred out the window, hoping to see some activity this early. She was in luck. Outside across the street were Wes and Teddy, her two best friends since puphood. They smiled and Crysa felt a urge to skip todays lesson completly. She'd much rather be with them, outside on such a nice day. She sighed and smiled back to them.

Just then the clock chimed 5:30 and Junie and Toner came darting in, followed by a tall black female. She surveyed the room, and saw Crysa curled up in the chair. Her blue eyes narrowed. "Well, well, early aren't we?" she asked.

This next one is a series that invovles the children of Silver&Shadow(some of you may remember them). It will probley be awhile before this comes out, as it might go through some edits here and there.
Shineing Hills:
Shineing Hills(takes place sometime after [Silver Lineing] series): Opal's a hybrid whos had enough of civalazation and yerns to follow her wolf side. Jasper's a wolf who has recently been apointed alpha of the Shine High Pack and longs for someone who can help him with this overwhelming task. When Opal's parents decided to engage her to a male she dislikes, Opal snaps and runs away to the forest, where she finds and follows a young wolf to the life she's searched for.

The wind howled through the trees as the brown female ducked under the swaying branches of a pine. Tears flowed down her cheeks as her paws pounded through the freezing snow. How could they do that to me? her thoughts cried. I don't want to be with him! I don't even like him! Why won't they belive me? The wind ripped through her fur and the brown female slowed, looking around. Her black ears pricked foreward. Was that, the wind? she wonderd, straining to hear. No. It wasen't. A shiver went through her, not of cold, but with a strange eagerness. Wolves. Titling her head back, she sniffed the air. The wild scent of wolf told her the wolf wasen't to far away. Forgetting how cold she was, Opal ran ahead and ducked down behind some bushes. Cautiously peereing out between the leaves, she saw the large grey body of a wolf.

She supressed a gasp. She'd heard wolves were large, but this one was, huge! The wolf seemed distracted and didn't notice her scent. Opal watched attentivly as the wolf turned away from a pile of snow and began trudging through the white blanket covering the ground, shoulders hunched agasint the wind. Opal waited for the wolf to get aways ahead before creeping out of the bushes and slowly began following him. While the wolf seemed to plow it's way through the snow eaisily, Opal struggled along behind and was relived when she saw trees ahead. That'd helpd with the wind at least. She'd been so relived to see the trees, that she haden't noticed the wolf had broke into a run. Not wanting to loose it, Opal bounded over the snow as well as she could. Finnaly, the wolf slowed and looked over it's shoulder. Opal quickly ducked behind a tree. She waited a few moments before peereing around catiously. The wolf was moving on again. Quickly, Opal started after it. The scents of more wolves began filling the air and Opal felt a thrill of excitment. This wolf's pack must be nerby!

Slowing a bit, Opal watched as the wolf dissapered around a small cluster of trees. She waited a bit before getting up and following. She couldn't supress a gasp when she stepped around the trees. A rocky cave was pereched a few feet of the ground and a small ledge jutted out below it, creating a perfect shadey spot. A pale silver wolf was laying benethe it, sevral wolf pups romping around her. A grey wolf sat nerby, watching them proudly. Beside the grey one, a red wolf sat, talking to a pair of grey wolves who looked almost identical. Not far off from them a silver wolf sat aways away. Opal suddenly realized that a grey wolf had apered from the cave and was starring right at her. In a few quick leaps, the wolf was on the ground and trotting toward her.

The other wolves heads turned as the grey one made it's way to her. "Who are you?" it demanded. The wolf was female, and defenitly not the one she had followed. "Opal." she anserwd. The wolf glared at her through narrowed gold eyes. "Why are you here?" she growled. Opal met her gaze. "I followed a wolf here." she replied. "Why? Your a dog. Dogs have no place with wolves." the grey female said cooly. Opal lifted her chin. "I'm part wolf." she said. Something that looked like suprise flickerd through the grey wolf's eyes. "A hybrid, are you? Even worse." she spat. Opal opened her mouth to speak, but the grey wolf interupted her. "Who did you follow here?" she demanded. Opal quickly looked around. She didn't see the wolf she had followed. "Uhmm.." Before she could try to exsplain, a shadow apered outside the cave. Opal felt relived as she recinaized the wolf as the one she had followed. "That one." she nodded toward the grey wolf as it looked around.

The grey female's eyes widened in shock and she glared once more at the brown hybrid. "Thats our alpha."
