Its funny to think that a group such as this would actually exist. Who in their right mind would think that a group of students would form a group to enable them to actually attend school! However, this is exactly what this is. I, along with many other students, want to get an education. I want to learn as much as I can in an environment I can feel free to express my views and Opinions.

Alas, Wilmington Enterprise College has seen fit to introduce a number of rules, that quite frankly, are archaic.

The word 'bloody', such a normal word; unoffensive in any way. And yet, it was the use of this word in a conversation with my friend that I was excluded for.

Personally, and I speak only for myself, I think it was quite possibly the most ludicrous reason to keep a student from their studies ever. Downright "bloody" barmy if you ask me!

I have a right to an education by the laws of the land; and quite simply that is all we're asking for.

If there is anyone out there that feels they too, have been unfairly denied their right to an education, then please join this group.

In my Opinion - It's turning into a Muslim school, over strict, with Med-evil rules.

I am not fishing for an argument here, but exactly how are your personal issues with the established rules and regulations of one institution of higher learning in any way relevant to the rest of us?

This is a superfluous and irrelevant topic, and I would imagine it will be locked soon enough.

Mainly in the hopes to bring anyone else that's in the same/similar situation to come forward.

Care to further explain exactly how you're being denied an education?

See, you may think that it was unreasonable to be excluded from an education event because of something you said, and perhaps it is. However, irony works to your disadvantage in this case, because suggesting that you're being denied an education because you got excluded from an event is, in itself, ludicrous.

Furthermore, I don't know why you're connecting your school to an Islamic school. Plenty of schools are probably strict, it is a bit strange that you come to that specific conclusion.

Frankly, this only applies to yourself and people at that same school.
Not to mention the fact the word "bloody" when used in the context you described ( Ex: "that is 'bloody' stupid" ) IS infact considered a swear word to a lot of families in this country.
Ex: I was told off by my parents for saying that when I was young because our family considered it a swear.

To put it bluntly, if you and your family are comfortable with it and don't consider it a swear or offensive phrase - fair enough. You should however be mindful that in certain places like in school or in the public you should hold your tongue and think before you say anything about people around you and what rules there are in whatever you're in (like school).

Also, ask your head teacher and they'll be able to give you work to do at home. That's what they gave my brother when he was excluded for 2 weeks.

Locked.
