Okay, the adoption board is a really fun place to go and shop for characters right? Of course, most everyone likes to add another character to their collection. But most of the topics in the adoption topic don't really have a purpose. I mean, people just make up some characters, colour some lineart, and put them up for adoption. Good right? Actually, no. These are just a lineart that was coloured and has no life, history, or even a bio. Anyone can whip up any old character and let someone ELSE decide its life. But the person who wants to adopt that random drawing with super cool markings can draw it themselves and give it a life on their own. You don't need to compete with other people for a lineart with cool markings. Yet other people take the time to make up a character, maybe right a few fanfics about that character and then sell its pups for a reason. Like, Mr. Thomas (the character's owner) cannot keep them, so you can adopt them and give them a good home.
The ones who just created the character say in the rules "treat it well or I will take it back!" But did they ever treat it well? No, because they didn't exist, AT ALL. These topics should not even be posted, because anyone can make a fan character with those markings and actually give it a LIFE before putting it up for adoption. For a reason at least.
