Animation Source Forums

yea, getting board and need some suggestions for some ANIMAL RELATED books to read.

Ive already read most of the Animal Arks, The Good Dog, Warrios, Watership Down, and thats all I can think of.

I dont want ou guys to go suggesting Twilight and stuff, not into that kinda thing, more into the animals.

I might as well give you a list of what I've read, just so I dont get repeat stuff.

Santa Paws by Nicholus Edwards
Cracker! The Best Dog in Vietnam by Cynthia Kadohata
Animal Ark(s) by Ben M. Baglio & Lucy Daniels
Waggit's Tale & Waggit Again by Peter Howe
Star in the Storm by Joan Hiatt Harlow
Good Dog by Avi

I would suggest "A Dog's Life" by Ann Martin. It's an auto-biography on a stray's life. The author is very descriptive, and it's been my favorite book since I first read it in 2007.

Here's a review of the book that I saw:

Ann M. Martin takes readers on a journey with Squirrel through the trials, tragedies, and triumphs of the stray dog's life. Creatively told from Squirrel's perspective, A Dog's Life gives readers an inside view of the kind of life a homeless dog might experience and helps raise awareness of the responsibilities of pet ownership.

I can suggest lot of dogs books if you want

A Dog Named Christmas by Greg Kincaid
the story of a family that take only for Christmas days a dog from the pound but after decide to keep him.

My mate Martin by Thomas Healy
in this book the author shows how a dog that he took a night when he was drunk, changed his life, in better obviusly.

Walking Ollie by Stephen Foster
How the author got the love of a difficult hibyd dog.

The Hidden Life of Dogs by Elizabeth Marshall Thomas
I personally love this book! you can read the life of E.M.Thomas' dogs

Books by Joyce Stranger, they're very good!

I suggest, for an animal(and mostly dog) lover, Marley: A Dog Like No Other, or the longer version, Marley & Me. Both are by John Grogan, and don't be tricked. This is NOT fiction. It is a true story about the "World's Worst Dog". And it's very heart-warming.

It'll have you laughing and crying the whole way through. Crying, for something happens towards the end of the book. Laughing, for he is a bad-behaved dog, and he eats mangoes. XD

Angelic Wolf---> Well... I was thinking about this topic today when we were at the bookstore, and I ended up coming home with A Dog's Life. So far so good. I also baught a book called Angus and Saide, and a book called Cracker! Best dog in Vitetnam.

Saske---> My grandma recently baught me A Dog Named Christmas! I'll be sure to read it.

Gosh, I saw this at the store today. >.<

The Sight
Fell
Firebrigner ~ all are written by David Clement-Davies, they are amazing books with gripping plotlines and written by my favorite author

They are good, so I've heard. They're perfect for animal and fantasy lovers.

Yeah I also like how the character has a pupose.

Hmm... I'll check into them after I finish these 3 books I just got. I just started A Dog's Life witch kinda made me sad because they threw a puppy out a window of a moving car.
