That's right. Disney's still going with their sequals. This site is in a different language but there are screen grabs from the film so I guess it's true. There's really going to be a Brother Bear 2.

Mmm, that's not new for me (I know that since at least one year)
There will also be a TV series for Brother bear.
They will soon release a sequel to "Emperor's new groove", a sequel (midquel) to "Fox and the hound", a midquel to "Bambi", and a third sequel for "Cinderella" and "The little mermaid".
So no, Disney is not at all giving up with the DTV sequels, on the contrary.

WHY?! Why?! Poor Brother Bear, meant to be a one-film lesson and theme and all... Is going to be destroyed with some sequel. Why can't the just think?! Oh well answer is money... but why?!

It's just, -----well------- money! I think it used to be that it was all about quality. You know, the first Balto was made back it 1995, and it was made perfectly. Then they decided that they needed to make another, and they did, and then another, and now possibly another! They see that people can't resist the continuing story!

Wow. A sequel and a TV series?
To think most critics didn't like Brother Bear when it was released. I've only seen it on DVD and it is beautiful, both in story and in animation.
Now the sequel . . . I think it has promise, but it seems like another obvious plotline to me. (check Keyframe Online for more info on the current plotline)
I'm not so sure that it will be a success, but I agree, Disney's all about the money recently. Heck, they'll make a movie for any holiday about anything.
