I don't think Jenna really hates Steele because....In the beginning of the movie after the race, Jenna didn't exactly refuse his offer to go celebrate, it was Rosie who called her to go home. Also Jenna did say she enjoyed the race almost as much as Steele had.

Also during the boiler room scene, Jenna was more suprised to see Steele rather than angry. Yes she may have been annouyed the he had inturuper her and Balto's "little moment" but wouldn't you be? furthermore yes she did back Steele into the furnace but that was probably because she wanted him to stop bugging her.

So all in all there really is no proof that Jenna really "hates/hated" Steele like most people think

What if WQ had never been created? What if there had only been suggestive hints that Jenna would end up with Balto, or even Steele for that matter? Do you think she could have been with Steele if he apologized? Do you think Balto would have told Jenna what Steele had done to him?

And she said she enjoyed the race almost as much as Steele did because while she did enjoy the race (note: it wasn't JUST Steele in the race) she was expressing how much of an 'ego' Steele has.


I don't think Balto would've told Jenna what Steele did, I mean, the town hated Steele anyway (not the humans, the dogs) after lying about everyone dying, and I don't think Balto, not being a vengeful person, would've seen any point in telling them what REALLY happened. If Steele apologised, I doubt it'd be a "FORGIVE AND FORGET" kind of thing, for obvious reasons.

She wasn't nesccesarily refusing him she said "I don't know Steele..." tha's not saying no so therefore you can't say she was refusing

Well first off any and all comments made by Jenna to Steele that could be seen as positive are purely sarcastic remarks and if not done by Jenna herself Dixie clearly points out Jenna's lack of interest in Steele. I think that perhaps at best one can speculate that Steele and Jenna have known each other for some time but over said time Jenna has grown to dislike Steele and his additude. Jenna's pairing with Balto is pretty well set in witi little room for interpretation.
While I know a significant number of users have made JennaXSteele fanfics even they would probably agree that as far as the movie is concerned Jenna hates Steele

What can I say that hasn't been said? Lady, take the blinders off and look at the way she acted, the tones of voice she used, etc. The only time she even pretended to warm up to Steele the way she did to Balto was when she fried him. Literally. When a girl pulls a stunt like that, it's not because she digs the guy. I should know, I've been burned too.
Besides, this issue has already been slapped back and forth more times than a worn-out tennis ball. Opening a new topic for it is just a waste of cyberspace. Lock it up already.

I think the only thing that pointed to her digging on Steele was when she was so quick to /seduce/ Steele, of all things, into a fire. Anything else was eh... And she did seem rather offended that Steele insinuated that she liked Balto. So that's interesting too.

I personally think they were together /at one time/. But thats about it xD

I don't get why people don't look at the /entire/ situation when pointing out these ship-pairings. This goes for any pairing.

I agree with that. I think when they were younger, they may have dated but Jenna realised how he really was and dumped him.

Forgive me if this is not the case for you, but I know that *some* people would like Jenna and Steele to like each other just so they could have cute children together or something. I find this extremely annoying, because Jenna was obviously going to hold out until she had found the dog she truly loved. As stated above (and in countless other topics), Jenna was repulsed by Steele. Clearly, with a mindset like hers, she was NOT going to fall in love and have children with a dog she hated and who was 100% "gloryhound". If she had nothing else, Jenna at least had a good sense of who was a moral and upstanding dog and who wasn't. That was the reason why she picked Balto, was it not?


Furthermore, Wolf Quest has been made and there is no going back. While I understand that the quality and/or plotline of the film (in some folks' opinions) was lacking, it has been established as movie canon. I agree that WQ was a bit "off" in some respects, but we can't change that, so I accept it. (Not to say that we can't create our own history for or change the design of one of the WQ Six, etc.) But nevertheless, Jenna was shown with Balto as her mate and with their puppies. And personally, I like it that way.

Meaning "Oh! Jenna smiled at Steele in this screenshot" (or whatever) and the scenario in the movie has naught to do with her smiling at him because of her liking him. Whats going on is she's just being polite and her reaction right after the smile shows that she's genuinely freaked out by him.

Or like in Wings of Change, people say "OH! Kodi loves Dusty! Look! He's looking at her!" Um. Yeah. Cuz she's talking. Plus I look at lots of people, it hardly means I love them xD Its just funny how "persuasive" a character looking at another says that they "like each other" more than an actual nuzzle between characters.
