(Well, you know the plot hun, seeing as you came up with it! Haha, well, the setting for this roleplay will be in present day New York City. And, just provide a short bio of your character as I will do the same.) Name: Alexandra Blunt Gender: Female Age: 19 Person or Animal: Person Picture: [First post is below] ---------------------------- Slipping her Chanel sunglasses on and donning a gray knit hat, Alexandra Blunt walked out of the lobby of her apartment building and towards the curb on the street. She nearly fell off the steps with the weight of all her bags in both hands. As she reached the street's edge, for just a second Alexandra set her luggage down and stuck her hand in the air to flag down a taxi as all the headlights of the traffic reflected off of her sunglasses. Passerbys laughed quietly as they wondered why someone would be wearing sunglasses at night, especially with all of the neon lights blaring in The City That Never Sleeps. But they all thought nothing of the young pretty blonde, as New Yorkers they had seen just about every kind of person there was. What they didn't know was that Alexandra Blunt, the famous actress, was fleeing town in hopes that she could not only save her money, but her life as well. Her ex-boyfriend, Marco DeLeon, a backup dancer for Madonna, was after her for everything she was worth, and seeing as Alexandra had refused to give him any money, he now declared that he would kill her. A taxi finally stopped for her, and hurriedly she loaded her bags in the trunk and climbed in. "Where to, miss?" The young woman racked her brain for somewhere. "Uh, take me to the subway stop on the farthest side of town." "You sure you don't want to just walk to the closest one?" The cabbie sounded irritated, as if he didn't want to drive too far. "No I'm sure, here." She forked over $200 to the man. "Uh, no problem miss."
As they started driving, Alexandra thought about where she would go from the subway stop. She wouldn't take the subway, no that would be too big of a risk of running into her psycho stalker. _________________________ (Kay, that's all I'm gonna post right now! Just put up your bio and make a post!)

Haha, yay! Name: Akiak (also known as Thomas) Gender: Male Age: 3 years Person or Animal: Shapeshifter Picture: Animal FormHuman Form- - - - - - - - - - Large worn mitts slid past one another as they strolled through the dark alleyways of New York City. The creature they belonged to was a rather large canine, black in color. He was known as ' The Phantom' by many of the humans who lived in the city, as he was the only stray to escape death from running in the streets in the middle of heavy traffic. He was also known to escape the animal cops as they received many calls about this stray. He was a slick target, and he had been this way since the day he was able to roam the streets without the watchful eye of his parents, God rest their souls. About a year ago, the stray's mother had been caught by the animal cops and his father was chased out of the city by a huge gang of dogs that lived in the nearby junkyard. He had no idea where his father was, but he knew his mother must be suffering, living with humans as their pet. The thought made the male growl deep within his chest, almost causing him t lose his track of thought as he came to a dead end in an alley. He sighed, hopeless, before retracing his steps and heading in the direction where the alley opened to a busy street. He remained in the shadows to keep hidden from the humans walking among the sidewalks, and with his dark ebony pelt it was quite easy for him to hide in the night. As he waited, he felt his stomach growl with hunger. He hadn't eaten in two days, as he had had a rather large meal the other day. He managed to steal a large steak and a link of sausage from a family on a picnic in the local park. But now that it was night he highly doubted anyone would be picnicing in the park. With his mind made up, the stray decided to head towards the nearest market, where he could scavange through the dumpsters for some grub. The best pickings were found there, and he figured there would mostlikely be a stray or two there already, eating the good stuff. 'D**n them.' The dark male growled to himself, now feeling rushed. He needed to get to those dupsters quick before all the eadible stuff was gone! Without looking, the large stray bolted out of the alley and into the street, where many cars came to a screching stop. But as he looked to his right, bright lights blared as a taxi drew near.

[Thankies for replying! I hope this is the one roleplay I can keep my flowing muse with! Lol. ] ------------------ Where am I going to go? I have to... I have to get out of this state, this city, oh God I don't know! Alexandra clutched her neck with both hands as the frantic thoughts ran in circles in her head. Half a second later, the cab driver grunted loudly and hit the breaks. The actress snapped out of her anxiety and looked up just in time to see "The Phantom", one of the most notorious strays of The Big Apple, staring right into the headlights of her taxi.
"What's that stupid mutt doing right in the middle of traffic?" The cabbie shook his head and muttered profanities under his breath.
For some reason, Alexandra was offended by the man's thoughtless comment. "Hey, he's just a dog, give him a break."
He turned around and rolled his eyes at her, "Yeah, uh huh. Whatever."
As the cabbie made a move to swerve around the large black canine, she yelled at him to stop, and threw open the door. She walked around to the trunk and got her luggage out. For no apparent reason, Alexandra Blunt hurried over to the stray as the taxi drove away and began to pet him. What the hell am I doing? This dog could have rabies or something? Even as the pretty blonde thought the words, she stared into the dark eyes of "The Phantom".
"I don't know why, but I think you can help me."

The stray stood stiff as the taxi came closer before coming to an abrupt stop. The car rest about three feet from where he stood, if that driver hadn't stepped on the brake any sooner than he did "The Phantom" would have been a dead dog. He sighed with relief before squinting to see through the windshield of the vehicle. The driver was an ugly old man and he seemed to be muttering something, probably to himself about the stray as his face began turing red. The male hybrid chuckled to himself, amused by the human's anger and completely careless as to what the human must have been saying.
Just when he decided to continue on his way, the car began to swirve to go around him. He thought about moving along and not paing any more attention to the humans or to cause mischief. This roces of thinking took about a minute before making up his mind. He decided it was his bets interest to keep away from the humans and get to that dumpster before trouble would arise. But as he took a step towards the sidewalk, he heard the sound of a door opening then closing. Hs head snapped back towards the taxi cab just in time to see a blonde haired woman taking her luggage out of the vehicle's rear.
'Why do humans always carry those huge things around all the time?' The male hybrid quizzed himself. A deep growl developed from within his chest, frustrated with the knowledge that he couldn't answer his own question. 'Oh well, better get a move on.'
Yet again, just as he decided to be on his way, another distrtion kept him on the street. As the taxi sped off, the stray felt entle strokes on the top of his head. His head swivled towards the source of this touching and found the young woman who had come out of the cab. His neck fur bristled slightly as he tensed up. 'The Phantom' had never experienced such attention from a human, and never before had a human managed to come so close to him. A warning growl began to develope within his chest before it was cut short from the woman's soft voice.
"I don't know why, but I think you can help me."
The stray's head tilted to one side. Him? Help her? Many thougths ran through the canine's mind as he thought of how rediculous that sounded, but with all the comotion within his mind gathering in great quantity he seadily began to grow curious. Being anxious, he was understandably cautious with replying and taking a step back.
"I don't usually mingle with your species." He woofed bluntly. "But I am curious as to how I, a simple stray, would be able to help you, a lonely human."

Alexandra's dark brown eyes widened as she heard the stray speaking to her. Am I.. am I insane? There is no way that a dog is talking to me.. My mind must have finally snapped from all this stress, yep, that's what it is. She shook her long curly blonde locks from side to side, as if this would clear out her thoughts. Sensing that people were beginning to stare, and possibly recognize her as a celebrity, Alexandra grabbed the scruff of hair around the stray's neck and hurried him to an alley out of the way of anyone.
"Okay, so did I just hear you talk to me? And, can you understand what I'm saying? Am I crazy?" Half of her words were just the echoes of the panicked thoughts scrambling around in her mind. She hadn't done any drugs, nor was she drunk so the only conclusion that excluded the possibility of her being insane was that her brain was coming up with a sort of hallucination to protect her from anymore stress and anxiety.
So, I'm standing here talking to a stray dog that probably doesn't want anything to do with me, and all the while I'm being tracked down by my ex-boyfriend who wants to kill me and take all of my money. I should really be anywhere but here, in still motion right now. But even if I was on a plane or subway train right now, what real good would that do me? He knows every inch of this city. Until I'm at least 5,000 miles away from here, there isn't even a 50% chance that I'm safe.

A quizzical expression spread across the stray's face as he looked at the human before him. She looked so confued, and surprised. Did some sense finally get knocking into her pretty, little head? SHe shook her head a bit, probably trying to focus on what to do next. But before he knew it, "The Phantom" was yanked by his scruff. He instinctively went limp as the woman drug him to a back alley. Unable to flail his paws, he managed to give a snarly fit before he was set back down. He growled as he lunged away towards the dead end brick wall, where he backed up into a corner.
"Okay, so did I just hear you talk to me? And, can you understand what I'm saying? Am I crazy?"
The male canine suddenly felt just as confused. 'She's anble to understand me?!' He thoguht as he looked down as his large paws, unable to accept it. For a few moments the hybrid was silent, most likely thinking things over before gathering enough interest to reply.
"Yeah, okay. I don't know how you can understand me, but yes, I can understand you. All dogs can, at least most of them." The stray managed to say, before coming down to the girl's last question. "And by the looks of it, you do look a bit insane, as all humans do. But that's just me."
He was blunt and to the point, but that's just how 'The Phantom' rolled with things. As time went by the stray loosened himself by sitting casually, still looking towards the young human with slight interest. How was only this human being able to understand dog? Better yet, why was it only thins human being that could understand dog? Still unable to satisfy his own curiosity, the stray glanced up towards the woman's eyes, his bright amber optics glowing gold in the faint moonlight.
"Who are you anyway? And why do you think I can help you with something I'm completely oblivious to?"

It seemed to take days for the stray to even acknowledge her response. All the while, Alexandra was pacing back and forth in the dark, damp alleyway trying to come up with a foolproof solution to her dilemma. Just leaving the state, she decided, was not enough to guarantee her safety. The intense threat of a man she had thought that she loved coming to not only rob her of her hard-earned money but to end her life as well, was almost completely overwhelming her psyche. However, a growling fit coming from the stray interrupted her mute soliloquy and her head snapped up to glance at him.
"Yeah, okay. I don't know how you can understand me, but yes, I can understand you. All dogs can, at least most of them."
To this reply, Alexandra answered, "How.. how in the world is this possible? No, there is no way that this could be happening, this is like, Dr. Doolittle or something!" The young woman cussed loudly and flung herself on the cold ground, putting her head in her hands as she did so. Though most people would have thought that she would either A: except the situation as it was and deal with whatever came her way or B: deem herself insane and succumb to the pressures surrounding her, she did neither. It seemed ridiculous that she kept denying this unnatural 'ability', if that's what one would call it, because everywhere she turned the dog was right there, with its intelligent eyes, almost human-like in the awareness of its stare.
"And by the looks of it, you do look a bit insane, as all humans do. But that's just me."
To the last part of his reply, she could only snort in response. Her mind was slowly getting used to the idea that this could in fact be reality, and that this was no trick of a stressed brain or any sort of stomach ache. Before she could make a more eloquent answer to the stray, he spoke yet again.
"Who are you anyway? And why do you think I can help you with something I'm completely oblivious to?"
Her fingers spread apart slightly, revealing a crack of view which displayed the stray sitting on his rear, looking straight at her with the strangest expression on his muzzle. She made sure to keep her voice level and calm as she spoke to him in a whisper, knowing that there would be no issue because of his acute hearing. "I'm Alexandra Blunt, I'm an actress, and my ex-boyfriend is out for my money. It would have just been that, except when I refused to give him any, he then promised to come and find me, kill me, and then take all of my earnings. I'm fleeing town but I have no idea where I should go. Seeing as I have this weird intuitive feeling in the pit of my gut about you, I figured that you could lead me somewhere. Dogs have good memories of traveling places, right?"

The stray watched as the human paced back and forth, looking very troubled. This only engendered more confusion for hte canine, although he easily ignored it as he scratched an itch behind his ear. Once the woman stopped pacing, and he stopped scratching, her soft voice finally spilled out of her mouth.
"How.. how in the world is this possible? No, there is no way that this could be happening, this is like, Dr. Doolittle or something!"
A sigh slipped through the ebony stray's partially opened lips, gorwing annoyed of the human's constant bickering. He was on the nerve of just turning and leaving, but the name Dr. Doolittle nagged at his mind. Looking towards her once again, "The Phantom" noticed how troubled she looked, which was pitiful to him, and had the urge to tackle her down and knock some sense into her. He shoved the thought aside before taking a deep breath to calm his nerves.
"Obviously it's real if you keep freaking out every time I say something.." The stray barked. Then he remembered that name she had mentioned. "Who is this, Dr. Doolittle you speak of?"
The human must have been rubbing off on him, now he was asking a constant flow of questions. He snorted to himself before shaking his fur with bristled with anxiety. He didn't know why he was so uneasy, although being this close to a human and actually having a conversation with her did cause for some nervouseness.
It wasn't an answer to his recent quarrel, but she did manage to fill the emptiness that was a formal introduction. He repeated the actress's name a few times for future reference, although he grew steadily confused as she continued to ramble on about her problems. It must have been a problem with her love life, as she had explained that her former mate wanted her for personal gain and even vowed to kill her just for the goods.
'She must attreact the wrong kind of attention...' The stray thought as he continued to listen. Though it wasn't long until he had the chance to speak up.
"I don't usually feel pity for humans, but it seems that you're in a very sticky sutuation." 'The Phantom' commented before clearing his throat, preparing himself to finish his reply. "Yes, dogs have a great sense of direction. You're lucky, since I'm half wolf I have an even greater sense. It would come of great use to you, that is if I agree to travel with you. It all depends on where you plan on going and how far." He added with a devious smirk, "And there's the idea of, what's in it for me?"

Ooc// Wow, it's been awhile since I last posted in this, lol. --------------------------
"Obviously it's real if you keep freaking out every time I say something.."
The pretty blonde had been staring at the dirty brick alley wall, lost in memories and questions she couldn't even begin to answer. The rough raspping fo the dog's voice brought her back to reality. She jumped to her feet, then squatted down to be at eye level with him. She remembered his wry statement and only half-chuckled. " If you were a human, then perhaps you'd realize how odd this is, ho utterly inexplicable this... ability is."
"Who is this, Dr. Doolittle you speak of?"
To the stray's second question, she only shook her head in impatience. " It's a character in a movie that could talk to animals too. But that's not important. I need to get out the city, the state even, NOW, and if you want to ask me more questions once we are safe, then I'll be happy to answer them. But right now, we need to get the hell out of New York." Perhaps she had been snippier than she had intended, but who could blame her when she was on the run from a greedy sociopath?
"I don't usually feel pity for humans, but it seems that you're in a very sticky sutuation."
At this remark, Alexandra rolled her eyes and muttered under her breath, "Great, now I"m being pitied by a mutt." As soon as the comment was out of her mouth, she realized that The Phantom would be able to hear everything she had said as clear as rain. Before he could reply, she blurted out an apology, "Sorry, that was rude, and I shouldn't insult you if I want your help. No, desperately need your help would be more accurate."
"Yes, dogs have a great sense of direction. You're lucky, since I'm half wolf I have an even greater sense. It would come of great use to you, that is if I agree to travel with you. It all depends on where you plan on going and how far."
Paying close attention to his words, the young actress detected a smugness in his tone, and she stifled the urge to shout at him. She took a few deep breaths before speaking and then said, "I don't know exactly where I need to go. I just want to be as far away from here as possible. I might even have to leave the United States. Would you be up for that?" Her tone had gradually crept towards pleading, and she bit down hard on her bottom lip as she waited for an answer from the hybrid.
"And there's the idea of, what's in it for me?"
At hearing this last question, Alexandra almost screamed with frustration and wanted to yell aloud to the heavens that this stupid dog should be thanking her for gracing his presence and even bothering to pay attention to him. But then she realized that strays didn't tend to interact with humans, especially in the Big Apple. Her voice was sharp as she warily asked him, " What is it that you want?"

ooc;; yeah XD so I decided that Thomas is a shapeshifter, and can shift into 'Akiak' whenever he pleases fff - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Akiak watched with little interest as the woman stared into space, overwhelmed with emotion and lost in thought. He was slightly curious as to what she might be thinking and leaned forward slightly, as if he thought he could hear her thoughts by inching closer, but to no prevail. Instead he reclined back onto his hindquarters, just as she squatted down to his level before she began to speak. " If you were a human, then perhaps you'd realize how odd this is, ho utterly inexplicable this... ability is."He was slightly puzzled, though she was probably right, it wasn't as amazing to a dog that he could understand a human and have a small conversation with that human than a human understanding and conversing with a dog. With nothing to say, ' The Phantom' nodded in agreement. "It's a character in a movie that could talk to animals too. But that's not important. I need to get out the city, the state even, NOW, and if you want to ask me more questions once we are safe, then I'll be happy to answer them. But right now, we need to get the hell out of New York."The stray tilted his black head to one side, obviously comfused as to what this human was talking about. But when her voice began to raise, Akiak began to feel very uneasy. He didn't quite understand her situation, but telling by the tone in her voice she sounded despirate to get away from this place. Since he had nothing better to do, he figured he might as well help this girl out; however, if he felt that he wasn't needed anymore he would leave without saying a word. It would probably be for the better anyway. "Great, now I"m being pitied by a mutt. Sorry, that was rude, and I shouldn't insult you if I want your help. No, desperately need your help would be more accurate."
He watched as the actress rolled her eyes at the comment he had made earlier and inwardly growled at her own critigue in amusement. She was quick to apologize, and Akiak grinned. This human was wise for being so young, and the hybrid respected that; however, since being so young she could make stupid decisions in the future that may call for his aid. Knowing this, Akiak made up his mind; he will travel with her to rid her of her enemy.
One thing; however, cause turbulance in his decision -the secret he had kept for as long as he could remember. Akiak was a shapeshifter, a creature that was capable of taking on a human for as well as an animal. The thought never crossed his mind in revealing such a secret so early in their aquaintenship, but he would have to tell her the truth sooner or later. [i]'Sooner might be better...' He told himself, nearly deafened by his own thoughts. "I don't know exactly where I need to go. I just want to be as far away from here as possible. I might even have to leave the United States. Would you be up for that?"Akiak thought for a moment, looking down at his work paws before snapping back to glare at the young woman. "Yes." He muttered rather bluntly, but even a question such as that didn't call for an explanation of why he chose to go with her. As he looked on, he noticed that her expression changed dramatically, one from slightly scared to completely angered. His ears slid towards the sides of his skull and his lips began to twitch with concern, but he calmed once her soft voice could be heard. "What is it that you want?"Again ' The Phantom' pondered, but to his amusement he couldn't think of anything that he wanted that he already had. Of course, he did think about what she would do when he revealed to her his secret and that he would rather her accept him for what he was rather than calling him a freak, but asking her to accept him as he was might encourage the girl to dig in deep as to why he wanted that. "When the time comes, and when I decide on something favorable, I will tell you. But right now the most important thing is to get you far away from your home." Piercing amber optics scanned the mouth of the alley before his paws carried him towards the sidewalk. "Wait here, I'm going to inform a friend of your situation. He might be able to help." And in that instant, the ebony stray darted off into the traffic, easily dodgeing oncoming cars that speed down the busy streets. After a few minutes, a young man with short blonde hair and dazzling blue eyes rounded the corner of a building and entered the alley in which the hybrid had ordered the young actress to stay. He looked at her with mischievious eyes before his soothing voice coarsed through his chest. "Follow me."
