I'm not pointing out names, but lately, a roleplayer on here has been driving me mad.

I have three roleplay boards I've got to handle, and their all going great. But lately, a roleplayer has joined all but one, and they're beginning to drive me insane. You know how normally, people would go along with the plot? Well, this RPer will literally throw everyone else off topic for the sake of their character. Here's an example from one of my previous roleplays:

And all of the others, including myself, were completeley confused. We didn't know what they were trying to do. It had gone from a plan to help Steele and his mate get back together, to that.

I don't get it. Why can't people just stay on the plot? All of the characters I have seen from this roleplayer have, in the Extra space:

The-
Prettiest
Fastest
Strongest
Coolest
Best

Or:

All the males like her, even the ones who don't want a mate.
She's the fastest dog in Nome, and nobody can beat her.

And, another annoying thing this Roleplayer does is swing her characters from male to male. In one of our roleplays. actually in all of them. For one moment she liked one of my characters, then after he rejected her, she immediatly went to liking another, who rejected her as well for he already had a love interest. Then, straight after that, she says that she loves a male she never even met before! I was confused to high heavens!

I just don't get why people RP like that. To me, it has Mary-Sue written all over it.

Well, you could do several things.

1) PM this person and ask them to shape up and edit their posts, and tell them that the way they are roleplaying is not needed/wanted for that particular roleplay.

2) If 1 fails, ask them kindly to leave and a moderator to delete their posts.

3) Ask a moderator to force them to leave, because the way they are posting in the roleplay is unwanted.

4) Roleplay in the private section or expect this to happen regularly.

I agree with Ghost-Unit, just tell them to shape up or ship out, in a nice way of course but still, no use having a good roleplay and letting one person ruin it. Though you should probably find out how long they've been on the site, they might just be a newbe who needs to be shown the correct way to roleplay.

It is actually against roleplay rules to stray too far from the original plot the topic/roleplay author defined.
If you PM them or post OOC and ask them to keep to the original plot - and they don't - report it to a roleplay mod (Lux, The Janitor or Aniu Caelestis) and they'll sort it out.

I'm think she said it was on her forum the problem was happening.

I too hate it when these things happen, I have read role plays where the plot is stomped on and forgotten.
People need to learn to RP because quite frankly, I'm sick of this [straying from the plot BIG TIME] and other things that are driving me mad like-
People that I've ONLY seen post in the RP sections and NO WHERE else >.>
All these new members posting plots we have all ready seen before. 'New members' as in new Rpers who ONLY post in the RP section. I'd much rather join a well-thought out RP with a nice plot and advanced people who don't post IN or CREATE RP topics 24/7

No, I believe Snowrunner567 meant that she has three roleplay topics going here on Balto Source. If it were her own site, then there would be no reason to discuss the issue here, because it wouldn't be relevant.

Anyways, this is one of the many reasons I don't publicly roleplay on this site anymore. Character biographies that have unrealistic qualities just piss me off. Yes, I realize it is just RPing, but honestly, there should be at least a few flaws to make a more interesting contribution to the roleplay. As for your other point, OP (original poster), it seems this person either truly does not know how to RP with others very well, or just doesn't give a flying flip and wants to do their own thing. The best thing you can do is PM the person, politely ask them to change their behavior, and if the problem continues, contact one of the RP moderators.

Forgot to address this point in my other post, when I first began roleplaying on this site I was still a preteen, and not very good at making nice, lengthy, detailed posts. I sucked pretty badly to be honest, lol. Anyway, I used to make these pretty female characters and I'd always want her to be with the most handsome male. (Childish, yes I know.) And, like the person you are talking about, if one of the males rejected my character, I'd move on to the next. Clearly this roleplayer is as yet inexperienced and a bit immature, but I'm sure if you give them some tips, they will improve quickly. I believe one of the advanced roleplayers actually sent me a PM giving me some pointers (while I was still new to the whole roleplaying thing) and sent me a link to a helpful topic, and my roleplaying skill progressed pretty quickly. Sometimes all one needs is a helping hand!

(P.S. As for Sora1, a few years ago on this site, many people referred to threads as 'boards'. While the OP has clearly not been on AS for that long, some people still use that terminology today. And I reiterate my point by once again directing you to the first statement I made in my previous post. )

Ahhh! Thanks for clearing that up Adelaide..

I think it'd just be best to Pm them about this, or stop Rping with them.
