I hardly ever see anyone even attempting to draw dragons, so if you have a dragon picture that you have done that you are particulaly proud of then please post it here, I am going to upload a few of my own later, but you can also upload any other mythical creature you have done here, and they don't have to be coloured in or anything, they just have to by mythical.
My pictures: (I will upoad some later)

Awww sweet, most of my pic aren't coloured, I am a rubbish colourer. Terra is really good, I hope there are more dragon drawers because I have felt a litte bit left out, dragons are great to draw, and yours are really good.

Lol this really reminds me I need to draw dragons again. I've been practicing my humans and dogs/wolves so much, and I miss my real passion. This is a slightly older drawing, but one I'm still rather proud of. It's not a full bred dragon, but a mix of an eastern style dragon and a wolf that I created one day. Not a lineart, and do not steal please. http://dragonfire01.deviantart.com/art/ ... f-71984394 link if image doesn't show. Thank you for the reminder, because I have so many ideas ready to get down 83 Feel free to browse my DA gallery from that link as well. Just no stealing.

I think drawing is a great hobby, if it isn't then I have no life, seriously all my spare time is drawing or reading (or animation source of course). Draco yours is really good, its a shame you don't do lineart or tutorials because I would use yours any day (with credit where it is definitely due). I have finally managed to get my scanner working, so I am now going to finally be able to show you three drawings of dragons I have done. This one is rather badly colored in, I was trying out some new pencils, and I did use a silver metallic pen for some of the scales, and the wings are awful. Overall a pretty rubbish drawing. This one is better, although the wings don't make any sense, this is before I looked at a proper dragon's wing/bat's wing, so all it is is three spikes coming out of their back, I am very happy with the head though. This one is probably the best drawing I have done so far, apart from the claws on its back feet, it was a real turning point in my drawings (I started drawing bat's wings rather than spikes) All of those were done without reference, but I think they are all crummy compared to you guys', but hey thats just me Links in case pics don't show up: http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83 ... agon-1.jpghttp://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83 ... ltry-1.jpghttp://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83 ... agon-1.jpg

...god, I need a hobby. It's just a normal ball point pen actually lol, I rarely use Photoshop to ink, my tablet lags on my laptop so can't use it much for that. Other than that it's just practice really ^^; and patience XD tromacom wrote: Draco yours is really good, its a shame you don't do lineart or tutorials because I would use yours any day (with credit where it is definitely due). I have I think a couple fantasy ones posted in my lineart topic on the forums here, but I have them all posted on DA, here http://dragonfire01.deviantart.com/gallery/#Linearts that are free for use as long as proper copyrights are given. As for tutorials, I did start one that I never finished on the first fanart site I started posting on a good few years ago. I've all but left, I don't upload there anymore, but I keep my gallery up. The pictures are old now, but I did make two dragon tutorials/references if you're interested. *shrug* http://www.Fanart-Central.net/pic-413162.htmlhttp://www.Fanart-Central.net/pic-239515.html

Other than that it's just practice really ^^; and patience XD Oh... that's fine. XD Actually, I don't have so much a problem inking than I do coloring, since I usually do multiple drafts of a single sketch. It's a nice way to tweak and add in minor changes, but after that step, I'm next to clueless. I've found a few tutorials on how to color, but I'd pretty much need someone to hold my hand all the way through. The ones I was able to find have such vague steps as "Okay, now color it in," or "now add the shading and highlights," and aren't of much help. But eh... I suppose there's something out there I can dig up. Thanks for the references!! ;D

Dr Rex I know how you feel, I am really bad at coloring too, it ends up looking flat and unrealistic or just badly colored and shaded. And I don't have a manual for photoshop so I am kind of borrowing any scraps of information on how to use it as I can, online tutorials are very helpful, I found a great website but it isn't for coloring. It's really cool to know that other people like dragons too, there aren't enough of us

It's really cool to know that other people like dragons too, there aren't enough of us I used to know photoshop, and I didn't start picking it up again until I rendered the picture you see in my signature. But "Fantasy" doesn't always have to mean dragons. I've even tried my hand at sketching settings I've seen in my head. Of course, since I can only sketch and require references, this is particularly difficult, and haven't had much success in it. I've also tried doing small pieces of fanarts from my favorite kinds of series as well, including Magic: The Gathering and book titles. I'm more used to sketching things out on paper, then just guess-working the shading and highlighting using faint pencil strokes and a butt-load of tortillons-rubbing. The outcome is decent, but it's a little harder to bullcrap your way when dealing with CGI-rendered pics.

I know that fantasy doesn't just mean dragons, but I'm was just saying I'm glad there are people drawing dragons, they are quite fun to draw, but that is probably because I can't draw anything else.
My backgrounds and scenes end up looking like a five year old's sketch, with blobby trees and bushes, and wobbly lines for water, and my rocks are generally just circles/ovals. When I use Photoshop it usually is just to redo a sketch that I have scanned onto the computer, I colored in a wolf on paper and then scanned it and re-colored it on photoshop, the effect was ok, but I got the color wrong and didn't really want to change it.

Lucky you, my science teacher would just shout at me, but yeh it would be cool to see what you do, I had this really weird moment when the world cup final was on and I drew everyone a dragon holding the english flag, they were quite rushed but everyone seemed to like them oh well. A bit off topic but I love Artemis Fowl as well, they're my favorite books. And Kodiak I'm not sure who you were saying it too but thanks.
