Animation gallery?

Well this isnt much of a rant but It will have to do...
I personally love all the awesome animations that people do on the site and they are posted in the fan art section of the site. But it bothers me becauseThere are so many galleries to look through to find just one animation though. So.. What I was thinking last night while going through some galleries is...What if we had an animation gallery? Right along with the fanarts, fanfics, fanvids,fanmusic and such. That way its easier to find some animations to look at and I bet more people would try and mAke them.

what do you think?

& I'm not so sure. There are only very few people on this site make animations (guesstimate - 4 at most) and most put them on the forum for critique and opinions anyway.

I suppose I just fear we're getting way too many galleries now.

Its not really nessesary right now. Not many people here animate. It would be considered a waste of space that could be used for something far more important than animations. Its the same thing as fanart, so that's why animations are sent to fanarts. But if its animations your looking for, I just thought of an alternative idea. when you send in an animation there be a catogory that would put it into animations

I agree, there isn't enought animaters, I do animate if you want to look at my gallary, but mabey they could do somthing like, when sending it into fanart, you click somthing that says "animation" and somwere at the top or bottem of the fan gallaries, we click "show all animations" and all the animations would apear APART from the fanart, and the fanart is still there also, and mabey there should be somthing at the top of bottem saying "this Artist does animations" just like it would say "This artist does NOT take requests." Hope this helped.

Yes, this could be another category - no need for a whole new section.
I'll probably add something like this on the search engine too, so that you can search for all the animations sent.

I have a question though. Will we ever be able to send animated shorts with their audio to our galleries? I ask because I'm currently working on one and would love to be able to send it to mine on here, and I also know that there are members on here who have made their own short movies, trailers etcouldnt send them because without the audio they...Made no sense. XD

Well as far as I know, there doesn't exists any format which allows for both image and audio, except for...video formats.
So what you're looking for seems to be able to send videos in the fanart section.
Maybe you can just use the fan videos section for that, at least for now...Besides, videos take a lot of space, so I can't host them directly anyway.

I'm okay with sending in Fan Videos if you are. I was always under the impression that we could only send videos with clips from Balto and music thrown together. xD

EDIT : Well it only says that they must be Balto related, so it shouldn't be a problem...
