It's life. The leader is always the one that one gets the most glory or the most shame. The movie is more focused on Balto. So why does it sound so unfair? The story is supposed to get you acquainted with how Balto is always looked down at so that you can sympathize with him more. If you think the oher dogs should've gotten the same amount of fame, then they should've renamed the movie "The Great Race" or something other that who the main character is.

Yes it was about Balto so all the attention went to him but I do agree that the team should have got some attention to.

The whole team did get attention, the whole team did a national tour with Balto and all of them featured in the silent black and white movie. All were put on display and all the surviving dogs eventually made it to Cleveland. Although the statue has Balto's name on it, it is inscribed "Dedicated to.." which is to all sleddogs.

Other dogs such as Togo did get credit (though not as much) but he was already famous. You canb see him in the Sleddog museum in Wassilla Alaska.

Please keep in mind that the title is "Balto", and thus Balto is the centerpeice of attention. Not anyone else. True, the other dogs did get SOME level of recognition by being included as characters in the movie. And it is true that Balto wasn't the only one who did it all. But that's not the "message" that the movie is trying to tell you.

The fact that Balto was an outcast, but still had a big enough heart to care for the people that hated him made him even more of a hero than any other character in the story.

Well Balto did get all the attention. It was actually an accident that he did get it all, because Togo really actually did the most miles.

I also watched it. You know that's allright with Balto's glory because all other dogs have their own fame. The fame in heart of every fan and only we can make their glory shine brighter! That's a challenge but it means that we have to work harder. And we get more fun by doining it )))))

Eer, i do believe the other dogz shoulda gotten a bit more credit, but ppl r retarted, thatz y i wish i was an animal wit a human brain....... yeah
