The topic is really for members to state where they where when certain events in British/American history (Modern, not "Where we're you when the Titanic sank"), if you add your own custom date, then I will automatically add it in the main topic.

Well, I assume it was all over the news (If Man Utd winning the Premier League AND the Champions League was all over them), but you would really have to be a football fan to know about it, - It was when Manchester United won the Premier League, FA cup, and European cup in one season (Then in December they won the intercontinental cup/World cup).

Ah, well sorry for the mis-understanding.

The reason why I chose Falklands is because I was pciking out random moments in history that atleast some members would of been alive during this period.

The difference betwee the Iraq War and the Falklands is that Britain won the Falklands war, and gave the people of the Falklands what they wanted.

And the Iraq war I found to be just... Stupid, they should be able to detect Nuclear weapons in a country.

...Obama won the election? At work handing out mints and chocolates. LOL. I found out he won when I got home that night.

...Twin Towers fell down? I was sitting in my class. I believe we were all watching the TV completely silent and stunned, not really knowing what to think. Nothing productive happened that day at school. We - the students - were still kinda young and didn't know how to wrap our minds around it; the teachers were too shocked to really think and teach us.

...Terrorist Bombs went off in London? Pretty sure I was at school.

...Twin Towers fell down? - In bed but I remember waking up the next morning and there was stuff about it on every single channel, when I went to school we spent most of the day watching TV about it.

Since most of these are American or British things and with time zones and such means for most of these I was probably in bed.

Although here are some big Australian events I thought I'd just list,

...Bali Bombings? - Since it happened during the night I was most likely watching TV or studying for my major exams.

...Black Saturday? - That day I was actually flying back to the city to start uni and it wasn't until about mid-day that I heard on the radio about the fires where they were speaking of only a few deaths that probably occured... I remember the night before them saying it was going to be very bad fire weather eg: above 40 degrees and very windy.

...Princess Diana died? I was in my living room playing with an electric train, I seriously remember that.

...Obama won the election? I was watching the TV hoping Mccain would win

...Manchester United Won the Treble? No clue

...Battle of the Falklands began? Wasn't alive yet

...Twin Towers fell down? I was going to the gym with my dad to get a gift certificate, that's were I saw the second plane hit Tower 2. Because of that crazy day I've been really thinking about joining the armed forces when I am done with college.

I doubt Diana, Princess of Wales was your third cousin, since you wrote "Whatever", I think you should know your relatives, especially one that was as big as her.

And not really, it was big news, BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV, Channel 4, AND Channel 5 ALL went down, it was just like when Diana died, exept she was 101, and Diana died in a car crash.
