Okay, it seems like plenty of people already know, but I'll put it here anyway.

The wraparound jacket band on the 20th volume of Fullmetal Alchemist and a leak from the Bones studio confirmed that a new FMA TV series would be released. Reportedly it will be called Fullmetal Alchemist 2 or Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and is set to release in Japan in April 2009 (the 5th I've heard).
From what I've found online and from what friends have told me it will be following the manga. As you should know the manga and the anime became completely different after meeting Greed.

The japanese cast has been announced here: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclo ... p?id=10216

It seems that most of the cast has changed.
There have been 4 different trailers already. You can probably find them on Youtube

If you have any more info or comments please post!

WOOHOO! Less than a week before it premieres now! I've known about this for quite a while, and as a HUGE FMA fan, I am excited like no one else. Hopefully Funimation will simulcast it, but if they don't there's always the fansubs. And of course we need to get that awesome English dub cast back together so we can have an American DVD release ASAP.

I can't stop thinking about it. I keep bringing it up and freaking out about if it will be good or not which I'm sure it will be. I hope Funimation dubs it, with the same voices as well. I plan to watch the subs and then hopefully buy the english dub. I already have all of the first FMA series & the movie, I just need the OVA set.

I'm a huge (obsessive) fan too, FMA was the anime that got me into anime ^^

Oh, I found some more info! Starting April 9th, it's going to be streamed (presumably with subtitles) on Funimation's official website. Source here:

The new episodes are really good I'd have to say.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is what it is called now that it is out. I reccomend it to everyone who is capable of watching it. Basicly it is based on the manga in which i own the whole set now but yes it is very good. Better quality than the older series.

Yes, I am loving it!
I especially like how they've changed the style a bit to make it look better *pokes Ed's hair*. I can't wait until it gets to parts that weren't in the first anime. I wanna see the inside of Gluttony's stomach in anime form!

I'd have to agree!
Even though I do like the manga better than the series, it is pretty good I'd have to say. lol
Arakawa did an amazing job on the manga and now seeing it is even better!
