Remove numerical increment for posting in "Forum Games"

No way should some of the topics count towards a post, especially considering some of the replies are one word or slightly more. I could spend some time counting until a moderator showed up on that one topic, only to set us back to zero, and have easily doubled my post count in a few days or less.

While fun, I don't really think these things should count towards posts. It's a free ride, really.

I highly doubt that's even possible. And even if it were, it would be a waste of time on Steet's part most likely. People who are posting in ANY forum games to up their post count don't really care what they post anyway and over half of the crap they post is just that along with a lot of spam. Who really CARES about post counts? Heck, I think it would be better to remove post counts all together.

I think it probably is possible (don't hold me to that, I don't know for sure) and it's also a good idea.

While post counts really don't mean anything, some people do just post for the sake of having a high post count and forum games don't help.
They are essentially just a spam forum.

The recent confusion when Togo cleared up the forum games section would be avoided in the future aswell.

That should work, however only for NEW posts.

Anyway, I think it's a good idea, although post counts are abit stupid, people think "OMG I'm gonna post so I can be a Balto Source Fan! *postpostpostpostpostpostpost*, not mentioning names, but thats how someone managed to get over 18,000 posts.

Honestly, I don't understand what's the point in getting a big number of messages.
Anyway, I have made the change (thanks Conay) so it should work.

Haha I think I actually know who you're talking about.

Nice to see so much support for this though. And really, if people want to put emphasis on post count, let them. It just gives them more of a reason to be active and makes the forum look better.

Good, I like this new thing. I didn't know it could be done, I guess I don't know the PHPBB admin panel well enough.

I agree with UK and I'm glad you (Steet) added this. I myself don't like forum games posts adding to my posts count. You're not a Balto Source fan if 95% of your posts are in the 'Other' section. There was something about that in the rules, anyway.
